      I remember trying them out in 2007-ish and I was like 'This is okay, but it's no VERSAILLES hurdurdur'. Now I feel like they offer a completely different experience (and maybe I'm a little more seasoned). MASK is so good, damn.

    I don't know how I've managed to avoid emmuree for all these years—They're right up my alley. Love the MUNIMUNI/deadman-esque sound. Very moody.

      I don't take time to listen their recent work, but i highly recommend the " haiiro " mini album, one of the best mini i ever heard. Every song is perfect.

    I feel like VK is over the hump of the really awful, generic crap of the last 5-6 years. Lots of newer bands these days with promise.

    I have not heard anything quite like LAB. THE BASEMENT. This is seriously good shit.

      it's another of Ao's side projects, i think it was also during the interval between cali gari's original hiatus and their comeback, but before Lab if i'm not wrong?? Might be wrong there, not sure about the chronology, there's not a lot of info available about this project in English... Anyway, the chorus of one of the FIGURE'71 songs was also 'recycled' for the ending of Lab's 'TOKYO DOGS'. I'd say generally the sound is  closer to like Dai 6 - Dai 8 era cali gari than Lab.'s sound  

       

      I have a couple of their releases if you're interested, the tags are all fucked up tho, if that's no issue I can send them to you lol

    I've been listening to HETERODOX for like 2 weeks. I love PIERROT, but never cared for Angelo. I gotta say though, this album is rad and actually really catchy. Way to go.

      I do actually remember those two songs. I had a friend that were into them - He would always try to get me to listen to Nightmare, and I tried to get him into PIERROT. Never worked out I guess, haha.
