i was looking for a thread like this to discuss some of the legendary happenings i've been reading about so
 
-the guy from HenzeL getting pelted with natto during a show and heckled to the point his mom tried to stop them
-KLACK showing a beheading video during a big festival while being the most irrelevant band there
-the time Rentrer en Soi kicked out their guitarist who happened to be Yuuga's brother who impregnated a girl after trying to make him make her get an abortion, and Yuuga got so mad Satsuki had to get on his hands and knees and apologize on stage
-when Koma from kurara zeroshiki stole a song from an ero game and got caught
-when Byou/Toge and Yuuto from JOKER told Kazuhi he had to leave the band right after they did a show
-the time Vogus Image's vocalist accused Tora of stealing their shit, and Tora clapped back by calling him a druggie
-Zipang's entire existence: the head of their label was arrested for meth, and the vocalist said he was so fucked up on drugs that they couldn't even talk to him, so he decided to leave the band. But the label head posted on their site and claimed the vocalist raped someone and ran off with million of yen, and that he had fired them because of it.
-Yukiya from JILS kicking someone for recording a show
-when Sugizo got a parking ticket and said it was like being in Germany under Hitler
-Vidoll writing a whole dramatic song about the time someone posted Rame's email address on tanuki

These posts are always so subjective. People get into visual kei at such a young age, and their interests change. People tend to not listen to music they listened to as teenagers. Just saying. Music scenes change and grow--whether for better or worse, which is also subjective. I also think people get too attached to their favorite bands. Bands come and go. But their music stays around. 

And at least a quarter of the songs on Vol. 1 are on Vol. 2. Which is super fucking lame. 
 
Also, no remastering is fine, because remastering these days just means "make it louder and ruin the dynamics."

I find glaring examples of this whenever it comes to kpop/krap. Honestly, many kpop fans will swear up and down that Western music is trash when so many of the groups and music producers say they are directly influenced from Western artists.... I also do not think the phonetic discussion has much validity in kpop either especially when so many of the verses and lyrics are English...
 
Like some mentioned earlier, it could just be some people just glorifying anything these countries produce...so general koreaboo/weeabooness and close-mindedness ensues.

Definitely loving this discussion. Personally, I guess I have a linguistic bias to J-music now, and my taste in Western bands has fallen off some. However, I don't think a language will bar me from enjoying a band fully. I am always open to recommendations from everywhere. I don't like limiting myself when it comes to music...I'm always looking for a new song that I'll get hooked to.

lynch. potentially would get away with akn's antics if they were signed to kenzi's independent label for example or even firewall div., but they'll get way less money from having a permanent indie career.

No, thank you.  I wish them all the best and I hope they achieve whaever the hell they want to achieve abroad. But you gotta draw the line somewhere and having  ALL TIME FUCKING LOW, WASHED UP AVRIL (NOT EVEN DUMB FUN LET GO-ERA, AVRIL) and 5 Seconds of Summer all together means I'm out. They won't miss me, for now atleast. but call me back when ONE OK ROCK bombs and decide to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BEAM OF LIGHT or ゼイタクビョウ.

It's the same songs for like 30 years excluding La Venus.  Good songs (at least the non ballads) but holy shit record something new. They have like 30 albums of compilations and live recordings of the same 20+  songs. Unreal.

Yoshiki the 10/10 troll. There are people that have literally died waiting for this album to come out including a couple of X Japan members!
