Black Gene For the Next Scene Vo.Ice has joined UNION ENTERTAINMENT

Recommended Posts

The band wanted to go on hiatus and reform as a new concept, Ice didn't want to. That much was already said in the hiatus thread. So I don't think Ice was the reason for the hiatus but he made it abundantly clear he wasn't waiting around for them to work out all of their problems and try it again. He sounds like he's just tired of the band scene and wants to go at it alone.

It breaks my heart to see how people still fall for those talks about them pursuing a carreer outside of music by becoming whatever else, mainly when he's such an amazing singer. It almost never works. What are the possibilities ?

1. He'll be a model

2. He'll be an actor

3. He'll be a porn "star"

4. He'll be a pop singer

5. He'll be in one of those shitty host bands

I don't see him suceeding in any of those. I just hope he realizes his mistake soon and goes back to music, but honestly, I'm affraid of what kind of music he'll make now...

They wanted a new concept with the same line up? Sorry I didn't follow their hiatus interviews but I would still be down for that even if I do also love Ice as a singer

Pretty much. I believe "re-form as new Black Gene For the Next Scene" is what was said. I'd be down for checking it out too, tbh. I will follow Rame until he retires. lol

I just think they're gonna get a new, less bitchy singer and that's how they're reforming. Unless they can somehow convince Aisu it's worth it to stay in the band. Which I doubt.

I'm pretty sure they wanted to reform with Ice and he was the one who didn't want to go on hiatus, by the sounds of the post. But him signing with this company does make it sound like he's not coming back with the band, imo.

actually most of the speculations here are unfounded.

i'm sorry i don't have time to translate Ice's entire blog post (maybe someone else can), but here's the tl;dr version he posted at the end of that post:

- management of part of BFN's activities will be transferred to another label, otherwise it's status quo

- therefore, he's neither going solo nor becoming a talent

- he'll do his best with BFN till the end

- the timing of the announcement was due to program scheduling issues (he mentions in his post that he's slated to attend a show on Tokyo MX where this is one of the topics they're discussing, hence the decision to announce this now)
