Hah, wasn't this introduced by that guy from SPEED-iD, and then suddenly it became an utter hype on Twitter? At least he was the first person I've seen doing so, and now I am seeing it all over my timeline. Either way, these are nine albums which I have carried with me through most of my youth, and they will likely always belong with me. In no particular order.

Yeah, I have a pair of really old jeans I wear around the house and sleep in sometimes, and they're actually more comfortable than most of the pyjama pants I own. Would never sleep in skinny jeans though.

i hope in 2016 some band releases an album that will make me go like

not to mention that cat's petrified expression LOLOL

It greatly amuses me to see men have to dress up and put on tons of makeup, in the way that normally only female performers have to...
(even if they have to be super photoshopped to look decent)
 
But most of all, I like how the music can be so different from typical western pop music you'd hear on the radio. I'm sooooo sooooo sick of neutered mass-market easy-on-the-ears songs with pitch perfect singers. I like flawed vocals, painful screams, dissonance.. the contrast between growls & pretty melodies that some bands do very well. I also love the.. aesthetics of the Japanese language when sung, and it's always a special treat when it's contrasted with the occasional bad Engrish line.

The funny thing is, I was incredibly underwhelmed by 3/4 of these releases when I first heard them. It was only about a year later each time when they suddenly started to click with me.

I present you the cover of BY-SEX's Ago EP.  It was drawn and photoshopped by Den himself.  The album covers Den made for test-No. are just as bad, but I this one I can't even laugh at. We all should be happy that Den isn't in charge of making the covers for the new Zigzo releases.

Dear L'Novel's is one of the few albums that I truly enjoy but refuse to buy, because the album art would haunt me. And yet, the ViViD one is somehow worse, because they were actually a major band. Can you imagine who designed these covers and thought "Yup, these are good to go!"

I'm a big fan of Dragon Ash, but somehow I completely forgot Kj released a solo album this year. Really need to get around the listening to that eventually. "Vocals similar to GALNERYUS" has me feeling a little scared though...
 
Nice to see GMA on your list as well. I watched the videos they released, but I still haven't gotten around to the rest of that album yet either, so it's good to hear that it's worth checking out.

DaizyStripper have announced a bunch of 10th anniversary plans for 2016-2017, so it seems pretty unlikely that they'll be the next to go.

God, the new POT song is adorable.

Cool to see them doing DNA desu and Ai no meiwaku in the second one. The sassy hand gestures always make me smile. 

Nice! Thanks for the Tempalay update, @seurong. I'll definitely need to check out their album. I'm pretty sure they are officially utilizing the love I have leftover from disappointment with 踊ってばかりの国's (odotte bakari no kuni) last two albums.
