      sorry to hear that you dislike the new layout @Δtypical. However I would much rather an ugly, more functional forum than one that does not work. We don't need flashbacks to 2009.

      I can't judge from a developer's perspective, but as a user I can definitely say it has become a lot less convenient, and I don't like the new layout at all. It's pretty harsh on my eyes too.
