I agree the way the look is presented in the video is Mejibray all over.. everything from the pink hair and eyepatch to the teddy bear and red rope bondage. Business is business though. Harsh vocals are a lot like Aki's, but he can do more with it. I would say the same is definitely true of his singing, more present technique and who knows, maybe more variant melodies, we will see ! but I am ready for this album

I know what you mean, I was expecting something weaker to build up to Rinkaku but it turns out to be in every way at least it's equal, totally a favorite for me too. << EDIT: Lol fuck, the kanji is impossible to see on my phone, I assumed based on the context with Rinkaku In other news, I like The Inferno now. Oops.

yeaaaaah well they advertised the jacket/hoodie for MBHI x KRY a few days ago and put it up as sold out, but also said not available until 12/10 so it could be the site system... but even so unless you're like stalking the site and have money set aside for something that may possibly pop up that you want you probably won't be able to order. I think it's not because they're like amazingly popular... I think they just make so few of their items that it sells out so fast, but tha...

Yeah it was never a surprise, but it was SO frustrating not knowing what song I was remembering.. I think NIN got pretty solid Japanese following in the past 15 years, Ruki always mentions them among his inspirations too (but doesn't mention Diru of course XD)

I would have also loved something as long and slow and Vinushka or Diabolos... Question though, this was bugging me earlier this year and even more so now. The guitar riff that goes along with the verse of "Phenomenon". It reminds me of the main riff of Nine Inch Nails song "All Time Low" from last year's album Hesitation Marks. HERE is what's bugging me, when THAT song came out, I could absolutely swear I had heard almost the EXACT same riff in yet ANOTHER, earlier DEG song. I've never been able to recall which song so I don't know If I'm out of my mind, If anyone knows what I mean? Does it sound familiar to anyone else? Riff starts at about :30 on All Time Low. Wish I could just link the song but MH: "Nope."

That's fair enough, You mean 'bland' then ? I can see what you mean although it's not the first song Diru has released with a very straightforward structure, it's definitely radio-friendly by DEG standards but I always felt it had a lasting impression. To me, the chorus is just as memorable as neighboring Saku and Kodou. For anyone who has heard, How are the bonus disc tracks ??

I wholeheartedly agree about not shitting on any of the songs based on pre release hype bias, but I have to inquire.... Of all the Diru songs I feel insulted by.. The Final.? Is there anything in particular about it ?

Only had time for a single listen before work, but I agree that there are some of their best and worst together here. I remember having a few moments of early 2000s nostalgia in a way that I didn't think they could evoke with their current style, I also remember being sorely disappointed by a few songs. Namely, I'd like to call out Tousei for pleasantly surprising me and having me enchanted by the end of the track, very soulful melodies .. Off topic: if GazettE takes any consideration of the sound of this album into their 2015 works then I'm sure it will shake out better than Beautiful Deformity..

I love the song, the frantic parts remind me more of older songs... cant wait for the full version as for the video, I like PARTS of it, Diru making a disturbed killer PV is always a welcome idea, but the continued shots of youtube pages and imessage screens take me totally out of the mood. Maybe it would appeal if I could read it, I kind of liked the part towards the end where it shows the youtube video of him with the kids after killing the parents and then everything in the video is tagged as "FAKE" and you see the family walking off hand-in-hand but the parts with him watching Diru lives and the Saku PV, inspiring himself to kill people... seems like a video a fan would think up... based on Diru fandom lol. All in all, compared to what we've heard so far, I don't think this does it justice, but the song is fucking great
