Okay so they ARE covering Sabato, mystery solved XD EDIT: he made his screams fit pretty well ! Also, I'm always interested to see new VK bands at their first shows. Being a new band on stage is tough enough but to present a VK "character" to an audience that has no idea who you are has to take that extra balls lol (is probably something you have to laugh about later) XD
  2. Can't play them either, oh well XD

I am really glad to see this album has brought the greatness of DEZERT to light for some people, their stuff can be hard to digest. It's just best not to "expect" to know what you are going to hear from them next lol. There has always been something special about them, handling their debut album well will hopefully make them more memorable !!

Being rich and playing with Gackt wouldn't fix the problems that most of these bands have, which is coming across like they don't understand the style very well.

Hiyuu's action shot XDD Okay I'm sorry but can this be a thing ?? They should do Vk band vs band war games (paintballs?) !! oh the possibilities... What exactly is this though ? elaborate...?

Checked out a few of the ones I'd never heard of (nearly all of them) It's a shame it comes across so awkward lol. One thing I'm noticing is that the PV acting in most of these totally blows it for them, they are dressed reasonably VK but they still bounce and move around like any western pop punk band. It takes you out of the mood the looks are meant to create, the vocals too are always no different from any other emo pop punk rock band. This is why as much as I don't like YOHIO, I think he has that over many of these artists. He was able to capture the vocal style (admittedly it comes more naturally when singing the Japanese language) but based on his singing style and PV acting he looks like he has understood more of what he has seen from VK than these bands. Not that it makes his music good, but it's much closer to VK
  7. The VK scene loses another genuinely interesting act I have only fond memories of these guys.

    awh

Well, posting lyrics is a lot easier than uploading the songs themselves, although I too am interested to know where/who the lyrics came from

Really ? I mean maybe it doesn't stand out to others as much as I think it does lol, to name a few, the chorus of A Priori, or in Decadance and Shuuei, Sadigate let's you hear it in speaking tone pretty well. I think it's constantly getting more and more noticeable as he goes, but if you listen to Taidou by VanessA you can tell his vibrato has just always been weird lol to me it's actually a selling point but I can see how it would annoy you to death if you aren't looking for it.EDIT: forgot to mention if you ARE looking for it, try Meji's cover or Porno Star, he fills basicallyevery line with it lmao I'll post a review of my own soon once I get a chance to de-hype lol
  11. Elazmus

lol what..Tsuzuku's vibrato has been like this since VanessA....
  12. Elazmus

Yeah it lacks the energy Shokugan had (which I liked quite a lot) but it's still nice sounding from this Geez they look fucking great though

I'm glad I'm not the only one sending Tzk requests for phone book recitation <3

I have to say as good as their older albums are, the post-Shadowz releases don't disappoint. GALLOWS is a bit sterile as they have settled into a very expected metal sound being Nagoya Kei but if you can get over it's samey nature there are still some quite good songs.
  15. Hatred x tangle red x WORLD = Hatred x Hunger red.

  16. Elazmus

It sure smells like one.... but I want to hear it too..
  17. ^ this is also me 100% since hearing Hungry Psychopath
  18. Elazmus

Agreed, Gloria best fits that description. To be honest though, both Anomie and Avalon are just as much worth the listen, MO is best in the album format
  19. Well that's what counts really. pessimism has it's place and if the last single is a fair indication then there is definitely cause for concern.. I'm prepared for the album to be bad, TBB saw to that much lol. I'm also prepared for it to be good. I'm prepared for it to be trashy and ridiculous, I'm prepared to laugh at it somewhat, and I'm prepared for it to make me feel something more than that too. At the end of the day, it could make me feel nothing at all lol!
  20. But WHY are you sure of that lol? You can be sure of whatever you like, just smells kind of dismissive from here lol, I see no reason to draw parallels to GANGSTA
  21. WOW What an embarrassing thing to say "out loud" lol
  22. I'm not a musician, but the way I hear it, the guitar in Raven is meant to be choppy, uneven tapping along with the drums to support the idea of the song "rapid twitching and darting" the way a bird appears to do (As Tsuzuku physically emulates in the video) When you say that the vocals don't sound like they were trying, do you mean the verse or the chorus? I've never been really impressed with the chorus myself, but is it so bad for the vocals not to be copied and pasted where the lyrics are the same? Personally I would rather hear the same line sung differently from earlier in the song, but maybe I misunderstood you ?
  23. What about Raven is so terrible exactly? I've heard others say they hate it so totally before, but I've never really known why. I know many people probably aren't down with a song that is 80% in falsetto (which also makes it kind of gimmicky) but is there something else I'm missing ? To me, Raven had as strong a theme as they've ever done.
  24. Elazmus

It would be really odd to include Mousou Nikki here ... XD
  25. That's very interesting I actually never liked Shitto myself, but Gesshoku is one of my favorites by them XD
