  1. Update: Looks like Amazon is preparing to ship this single, so I guess there was nothing to worry about. Still weird that CDJapan couldn't sell it.

Information about the single has finally been added to Avanchick's OHP. You can see the cover artworks: http://avanchick.jp/music

Based on the catalog numbers, I guess Avanchick self-published this single, which is why Rockstar Records does not mention it on their official site. Maybe.

  2. An update in case anyone cares..

CD Japan says they will not sell the new single because none of their suppliers have it. This is despite the fact that they are selling other releases from Rockstar Records (like Devil Kitty's upcoming mini-album),

"We made inquiries. Unfortunately, none of the record companies that we have dealings with carries it. So, we have no means available to get it supplied."

Avanchick & Rockstar Records' official sites, as far as I can tell, continue to not mention the single anywhere.

Avanchick vocal Noah still mentions the single with 10.28 release date in his Twitter bio, and as mentioned above, he recently posted previews of 3 tracks from the single.

Amazon Japan has it listed for pre-order, so I have placed an order there. We will see if it gets shipped or not.

    I am very confused.

  3. When I first got into Japanese music, I found a download site and downloaded basically everything on their first few pages. Maybe ~100-200 CDs or so. Then deleted whatever I didn't like. Then I found some English websites that gave recommendations based on the stuff I liked, and it expanded from there.

.. Later on, I would join Last.fm (RIP), where I got some mileage out of the "similar artists" stuff. Somehow this led to me getting into VK.

.. Later on, I would create my lyric site. This (and my video games) has kept me so busy that I don't have time/willingness to check out new artists. If I get into new bands now, it is because A) somebody requested the lyrics and forced me to listen to it, or B ) the band has members from a disbanded band that I liked.

sorry I don't know how to embed twitter videos...

    Edit:

Oddly, I cannot find any info about this single at Rockstar Records' site or Avanchick's site. It is also not listed at CDJapan (I will e-mail them about it).

NOAH posted these a few days ago so I assume it is still coming out 10/28 as planned...

  5. ugh, cd Japan just CANCELLED my pre-order and lists the album as "no longer available" wtf are they doing. they sent me an email saying they had no idea when, if ever, it would get released, which led to me cursing yuutoman's name until I loaded up the bands website and saw the new date there.

    EDIT:

I e-mailed them about it, and they have now put the album back on sale with the 10/28 release date.

  6. CDJapan has listed the new album and also has some of their previous work HERE

Thanks! Yeah, CDJapan sent me an e-mail about it this morning. They (and every other new CD online store I know of) do not carry the singles leading up to this album, and also Voyage and the singles for that album. I paid a heck of a lot of money to Noppin to order Voyage from defspiral's official store for me, and I bought the singles used.

  7. Hi.

I would like to request the tanslation of this song. If someone has the time to do it I will be deeply thankful^^

Since this is pretty short, and I really like this song, I'll give it a shot. I'm not the greatest at translations, please correct me if you have better ideas =)

I really have no idea if the first line is right.

The last line "spinning layers" sounds weird, but what I mean is "spinning" as in "making yarn/thread", and she is layering this thread over something, or over itself, maybe. Kind of hard to explain. Or maybe I'm just wrong =p

    Title: Thread of Dawn

When the flowers bloom, the butterflies fill the branches

    We sing across the sky

Towards the other end of the faraway flowing clouds

Passing over the sea, crossing the rainbow

    To reach you

These feelings breaching and overflowing the dam

In the place where you'll someday wake up from your dreams

So that we can smile together

    I am spinning layers

  8. Hey Shir0, you've got a few basic kanji mistakes that I thought I should point out. (or maybe you used a program to automatically create text from the scan?)

    笑ていえる should be 笑えている

    入道的 should be 人道的

さあ should be さぁ (this is a minor nitpick)

    浴けた should be 溶けた

    Dissapear should be Disappear (lol)

    Otherwise, good job. Ganbatte =)

Since I went through the trouble of doing the survey, I might as well post the results!

I guess this is pretty accurate. The most important word being "relaxed". I hate competition & challenge, because doing things over and over again to practice/figure out a strategy feels like a waste of time and stresses me out. I usually play games to indulge in power fantasies, not to get frustrated.

I probably scored high on "action" because I like mowing down enemies at an easy difficulty level. I feel like the question was geared towards guns ("blowing things up"), but I really prefer swordplay/melee combat over guns (I'm terrible at aiming...). Of course, I will also take turn-based RPG combat any day.

  10. Anybody here excited for the stuff announced at Sony's Tokyo Game Show conference a few hours ago?
I haven't had a chance to watch the conference myself, but I've been looking at the news.
Here's a very long list (copied & edited from another forum) - bolded stuff is what I'm personally interested in

    - Playstation VR (renamed from Morpheus)
    - VR games: Summer Lesson, Final Fantasy XIV, Cyber Danganronpa VR, Joysound VR (Karaoke app), Hatsune Miku tech demo, Kitchen, Shin Sangoku musou 7 VR demo, Aquarion Evol, Rigs Machine Combat League, The Playroom VR
    - PS4 price drop to 34,980 yen

There are also quite a few games I've got my eye on that weren't mentioned at the conference:

    - Dragon Quest XI, PS4 2016

    - Final Fantasy XV, PS4 2016

    - Hatsune Miku Project Diva X, PS4/Vita March 2016

    - Nier 2, PS4

    - Tales of Berseria, PS4

    - World of Final Fantasy, PS4/Vita 2016

There's way too many games, my poor wallet will suffer next year, especially if I have to import...

  11. I'm in a bit of a unique spot because of my lyrics site. I discovered many of my current favourites by people requesting lyrics for those bands. (for example, I found Gossip, Grieva, Memento Mori -> Kuroyuri to Kage, and Crimson Shiva from requests).

Otherwise, I wish I had more time to check out random bands, but I don't, so I usually stick to what I already know.

... I usually do not like "Best of" compilations made up of only singles, because for *most* bands, those would just be their most "radio-friendly" songs, which tend to be the least interesting songs. For instance, Mejibray. I love a lot of their B-sides, but only a few of their A-sides. If SM was the first thing I'd heard from them, I might not have bothered to find & listen to their other things.
