about gazette. i don't hate the people. i am annoyed about the adolescence /weebo fangirlism these fandoms tend to have and the complete lack of interest and knowledge of other bands.  i can't follow them in tumblr etc and i don't want to talk to them because a majority tends to posts 231e342312321423 pages of how uruha touched aoi's shoulder ...from a distance... with his eyes... and OMFG the yaoi.
and another 33322909-0 pages of fangirlism that i don't care about because i don't find attractive the members. i don't see how i could talk with a person who only like gazette etc and haven't a clue at all about other small bands.or bands that i like. they tend to do that.
 
i mean NOT everyone.they are always exceptions. just saying a lot of people. i prefer lycaon fans etc for example even if i don't listen to them. they seem to know about more bands and have more interesting comments

i think you mean there are not enough old school visual kei in sound. most turn to neo rock/alternative/metal something that you don't like.
but that's too personal taste/opinion. i miss old deg sound too sometimes so i get it. but i like that "nu metal" stuff too.
 
my personal taste
i don't like pop rock bands like DIV  etc. that are the most succesful today. and alice nine type of bands.
vkei is full of these pop rock bands and are the most succesful.
i meam there are enough pop bands in maistream.we don't need underground and rock bands that are supposed to be unconventional ,to be completely maistream with  pop rock love ballads and cute looks.and that's why psc annoys me.
 
i mean these bands are more commercialized than pop bands. if i wanted pop mentality and sound i would listen to pop not them.

em that's the point it's more about entertainment .
today's visual kei is more about who is the best entertainer and not who is the better musician/artist .
the one who has the most success is the best entertainer. not artist .
i mean entertainers have talend too and are needed but just know what is going on.

i mean maybe then it was more about looking disobedient or unconventional.
today is more about who is the most good looking or acting with sole emphasis on  profit  and not so much about the shock factor.
and that makes old bands have more artistic value.

they annoy me so much . i can't choose especcially the moment i have to register i get completely blank and with no ideas. while other hours i might have great ideas that i forget after. so i end up frustrating like an hour unable to find one username,  even if it's to sign for the most  stupid thing.and end up using something random.
that sure has some relevance as a story of why i chose it with my interests.but it's not something others can understand unless it's a song title

it's not about shocking you, if you are open minded .is about shocking and annoy a repressed , delicate society.to provoke those people by showing you do not care about their repressive rules. also it's a trick to attract attention. so the fan should feel some short of amazement or shock, if you feel they are laughable and ridiculous and there is no point .

maistream media have use everything by now.and are more open minded compared to the past. so it's not shocking when people use it everywhere and have accepted it. but you still have to try and show the same.maybe it's like a tradition lol.
if you have maistream accepted pop appearence and attitude. with pretty hair and fashion clothes.what's the point .i think you lost the meaning of vkei .and it's roots.
remember old x japan that had kind of a thrash metal /punk glam ? influenced look with big hair.

it's an opinion though, some people see progress. personally it depends on the case  what i will say.

i was thinking to edit and add before. i think i was being accidentally political xD between liberalism and conservative perhaps. i think being conservative is  close minded.
for example i am not here to judge what is better. i am here to support change and different point of views. because we wouldn't have both(abstract&  Renaissance) without change. we would have only one. do you think one of them is not necessary. it wouldn't matter if it never existed?. because i find more interesting that both exist.
 
i don't deny that it can be bad change. but you can't block change completely, without blocking the advantage that comes with it. you can block bad change with critical thinking

about x japan
it's not necessary  to like a band but it is good just to have knowledge of their value and why people respect them.
i mean do you understand why  people respect them or like them? then do not try to find why you do not like their music is normal.music taste is personal.
(actually if you can't understand the point of  view of others,despite if you disagree or not with them.you can't make any good argument and support it at the end imo. )

what marketing logic is "people follow them because they make fun of them". that's infomercials logic. you should aim to make good music or art and not to be a joke.
informecial logic is not something you should be proud of. "is so ridiculous that i will notice"
the proud/poetic logic  is :that something is so different than my values or what i am used to, that it annoys  me and i notice it,not because it makes me laugh because it is more stupid than me.

ok my experience
i used to go to underground shows years ago often ,(even in random local bands ,not only more famous) (now not anymore,i stopped). there were  always  mosh pits.  i didn't want to participate in the mosh pit. but it was in front of me. and nothing ever happened to me. because people above said it scared them.
but it was so fun to go to shows like this because fans were kinda crazy doing whatever the fuck they want and it was so amusing.
back then  i prefered it than shows that have rules. now i don't care. maybe i would prefer even rules.
although i  think i don't like having  specific seats. it seems so strange to not be able to go whenever you want in a show.

i mean it depends on the audience. different audiences in different music genres i imagine. some people do not give a fuck how pretty the singer is or do not care to pay close attention to the members all the time. just go to shows to have fun and party.and jump all over the place and crowd surf. to be honest when i went to shows like this i didn't care about the members at all either ,most of the times.i only cared about the music like 90% of the times i didn't even know how the members looked with few exceptions.
when i discovered visual kei i started paying attention to members and how pretty they are.and wanting to watch how they play or how they express themselves.
back then it was like going to a party xD  when i went to shows
 

People got played like puppets and were blatantly pushed into fights with each other for the amusement of others, and it didnt even result in actual amusement. If I wasn't a happy-go-lucky numbskull I would find it depressing, actually.

1. You have that "last.fm level" bar that doesn't really mean anything, it doesn't even tell us what algorithm it uses, so it may as well be a random number that supposedly only serves the purpose of massive e-peen enlargement.
 
2. You are actually listening to the hype band of the season, a.k.a. sukekiyo. They may as well have called the band sukii-kyo, because Mr. "I can't sing falsettos but I will do it anyway" is pretty much the only reason why they get so much attention at all.
 
3. Newsflash: listening to Boris doesn't give you underground creds anymore. Everyone and their grandmother listens to Boris these days.

ok since i am not listening to any of them . this is how i choose:
first aboout music. i never liked cq in music. i have listened old lycaon in the past and liked them. i hate the nasally voice but i know yuki can do lower if he wants.
 
about looks. i do not like cq visuals and i do not like them as guys. only one of them is cute (if you do not care about looks or visuals  go away from vkei,you shouldn't be here)
i think lycaon majority of members are more good looking with better visuals. (even if you do not like yuki ,they have fricking hiyuu)
so generally lycaon is more entertaining to me.

It was about damn time. I've been watching those live videos and they're all awesome. This band should have a world tour or sometihng like that. Their lives are always incredible.

yuki is  blatantly influenced by kiyoharu .
satoshi is a blatant slash copy.
and if you ever happen to ask yuki or satoshi i bet they would  defend kiyoharu or slash and say how much they admire them and how important they are to them and music. and admit they copy them. or had influence say it however you want to.
old school wasn't a copy. was the style of a whole era.
everytime i see you are drooling over yuki. and you are so delusional and blind . feels like talking to a vegetable. i give up on you.

i hate bands that  try to be ugly just to be shocking and fail miserably. and just look stupid ,ridiculous and just ugly.
but not provocative or shoking at all or special. while there are pretty bands with more smart or provocative looks.

but about music as much as i do enjoy new bands .
i haven't found  a new that i can honestly say has better music than some older.(maybe it's personal taste)

List some of the songs where the vocalist so so incoherent with their mumbles that you have no idea that it is in English. For me the first song that comes to mind is The Gazette's Filth in the Beauty. I literally had no idea that the song was mostly in English until I looked up the lyrics.

I disagree.
I am a business man, and you do what it takes to win, but this is not how you win.
As for morals, everyone has their own, what matters is standing by them no matter what, which is what seperates the men from the b*tches of this world.
I have seen many different businesses from the inside, and the ones without morals are the ones without balls, and they almost always have more debt than profit in their ventures, though they wont tell you that.
The,fact that these bands are announcing a conditional disbandment shows me they actually dont have what it takes.
I can give examples of real bands that did what it took, like Buck-Tick or Dog in the PWO... Haru put his whole life into being in a band, he used to sleep in lobbies, look all day for band members, give up oppurtunities elsewhere to continue music, etc... These other bands come out with unrefined looks and sounds, then disband after not becoming SID or Alice Nine in six months.
Just my two cents.

excuse  me you don't know shit about me, and what i buy and what i download. but anyway you  are right who am i to know anything.
maybe morals and ideals are indeed useless in this world. maybe we shouldn't let kids know about them in the first place.
