    My prediction is that it will be a good year.

     

    My hopes:

     

    - Stereo C.K. album

     

    - Tons of new promising and diverse new rookie bands 

     

    -ISUKE and Akira new band

     

    -New Nightmare related projects turn out ok

     

    -More interesting European tours

     

    -I find a way to get Last Girl Hikasa material 

     

    -Megamasso returns and its great

     

    -Rame new band doesn't suck

     

    -Ice/Eros new stuff doesn't suck too much either 

     

    -Bands in general surprise everyone not disbanding all that much

    Hugh I don't even know the bands they're playing with on the demo lives. Much harder to know who could they be if they aint rookies. They don't look like it.

     

    They sound ok. No grunts are welcome. Hope the chorus is catchy.

    - after the disband of Siam Shade the vocalist Hideki formed a new band Acid but some  fanatics fans of Siam Shade don't accept that so they beaten up Acid member

    - Due to Kei  (guitarist of Kannivalism and Baroque) lack of participation in promotion events  due to sleeping in too late he was punished by their label, Avex forced him to reside in the headquarters building , he was located in the 3rd basement floor of the Avex building and he slept  in a cupboard lined with cardboard.

    - when Dai the ex drummer of Himitsu Kessha Codomo A was kicked out of the group due to allegedly leaking personal information of Codomo A and others UNDERCODE  bands to the public,  taking the band's money and theft of equipment at UNDERCODE

    I hope Kei still lives on the Avex basement.

    Vivid fiasco?

     

    Never followed the band much.  I like t-t-t-take off when it released tho.

     

    Some wtf stuff:

     

    1.Kiwamu chair antics took to long to be mentioned in this thread. They defined an era here.

     

    2.Of all the bands that could go super popular in vk and go mainstream... golden bomber was the chosen one.

     

    3.Vior Gloire: releases super good album, then disappears.

    Love this kind of stuff even if I never end up interested in any of them. There's always hope I see some interesting comeback.

     

    Did Moran's Hitomi retire?

     

    Edit: they seem to be based in Osaka (?) 

    The overall style of the his reminds me of how boogieman started out but there is no chance both bands are related.

    Let's give this thread another go.

     

    I think mucc is much better now than back when they were playing heavier stuff.

     

    Angelo is worse now since they took in that (ex vidoll?) guy

     

    Angelo used to be better than pierrot

     

    Gotcharocka is actually pretty good

     

    Superfly is all over the place... but sometimes they hit the nail hard

     

    Ling Toshite Sigue is not very good

     

    X japan new songs are very cool and make me want that album to come out in a not sarcastic and not condescending way.

     

    I want a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Aural Vampire crossover EP

    Kami jo was on (fabulous golden) crutches on todays Barcelona show... Their weakest show on Spain AFAIK.  The band was very distracted but they tried hard.  Kamijo was sitting and standing from time to time. But his broken feet did not let him go through the full thing. Furing the last song, revenant choir, he had the audience and Teru sing so it could go through. People had fun overall. 

     

    The first third  had some issues with Teru's sound and he seemed a bit unficused/tired. He came back after like the 4th track or so. 

     

    Symphathia was a mess. Hizaki forgot to enter because he was playing with a rose trying to look cool and stuff. They started all over. Midsong Kamijo's mic stand fell along with the crutches. Ssome staff entered, Teru panicked a little and tried to get the crowd's attention awkwardly. It was very entertaining. 

     

    They played a couple new songs. Lineage was very very cool.

    Info from Nightmare's staff and website:

     

    -LSN site will be relaunched on feb 15

     

    -New Ruka specific fansite will be launched

     

    -LSN will have a new oneman live on march 9th.

     

    There is no info about what lineup or tracklist were involved in the live, will surface at a later date.

     

    LSN will probably be much more promiment now, but still we don't know how the lineup is going to work or if any regular releases have been planned.

    Ruka (NIGHTMARE, The Legendary Six Nine) to hold "conference about the future" in LOFT PLUS ONE.

     

    Given it's a concert venue and that exclusive goods will be sold, it can be assumed a new proyect and/or new LSN releases will be announced.

     

    Ruka also composed for other artists this year: Hakuei's solo project and and underground idol band BiSH. There also could be some announcement in that direction.
