  1. -Slap bass.

-Songs with a fancy and energetic piano melodies.

    -Deep ultramelodic vocals.

    -Orchestal arrangements of rock/metal songs.

-Silences or partial silences before some specially killer part of the song.

-Piano only/piano + voice cover songs.

    also

Acoustic passages, especially in heavy songs.

    And that's it for me.

  2. ^Try their VANDALIZE album. It will grow on you for sure.

Oh! Thank you very much for the suggestion ^_^ The truth is that I really enjoyed the guitar parts in Solar Eclipse and Le Grand Bleu.

Those where awesome, but I like the mature sound of Gemini Trilogy more. Anyway guitars where great in those tracks.

  3. Not oly de song is unoriginal and the PV is lame, but Jui's vocie sounds way worse than in vidoll. Did he skipped his recover treatment or something.

This project has "fail" written all over it.

  4. I also agree on the world tour thing. They 100% focused on japan. There is a small chance if we think of VAP letting Maximun the hormone have a few shows on Europe, but I would not count on it since is known that most of the band members don't even have a passport xD

Im almost sure they will give a name and release date to the album since the have even introduced some of the new tracks in it at some lives, and they said back in december we will have news on their studio work 'soon'.

  5. It's the current release gap, totally unlistenable last album and cash-grabbing best-ofs/re-releases lead to my assumption.

I did like them before and hoping for more nicer releses, but their releases, but can't help my gut feeling here.

I'm not sure about their current popularity, but oricon gives me a right of doubt here -

their top-5 singles are all pre-2008, and their album sales are dropping too (even though boredom parade made it to # 3)

But all of their recent sigles made it to top 5 without being anime songs wich is quite solid for a visual kei band as they are. Plus as you said their last not conmemorative album went straight to top 3, while their last best of release is on their top 10.

Also, as I said their lives have been growing in attendance and profit. The band's current status is unmistakeable solid.

  6. Looks like they hired nightmare to outsorce Gemini 0-I-II tracks, that's super awesome and Yomi did a great job on vocals.

They both have deep voices and they way they sing it's not 100% different but Shou does not sound like Yomi in this album (or any other).

I think Yomi sounds way better but I am a Nightmare fanboy anyway, so never mind.

  7. I am not a big fan of A9, I've heard some songs and I dug some albums, but nevew blew me away though I fund their music enjoyable.

But this album is waaay different.

    I. The instrumentals set an epic mood that it's great to start any album. Good melody and the pacing create a great mood of anticipation in the listener wich is boosted during all the song due to it's in crescendo nature util things get a bit more soft for the ending, wich flowss great. 7/10.

RUMWOLF Heavrier sounds and interesting riffs set a good scenario for a really kick ass chorus. Great bass segments and great guitar solo. 8.5/10

Stargazer: I liked this single. The song has a soft texture and feels warm and gentle and has a decent melody. The guitars are enjoyable, but the druming is absolutely boring and sets and unexciting rithym to the song that has to do the rest with the melody wich not outsanding. Not a bad song, but gets eclipsed by the previous track with ease. 6.7/10

4U An even softer song. At this point I started to think that the album was starting to go downhill. 4U is not a bad song, bot notable either. Performance partially saves the song of being an not moving and unoriginal ballad rock ballad that feels uninspired. Skipeable. 5.5/10

蜃気楼 te album comes back to "stargazer mode". Both songs create too simmilar ambiences but this song it's more festive than warm and that benefits the album, because other emotionalesque song after 4U would be overdoing it. The song itself, despite not being stellar or special it's a good start for the album recovery of two bad placed tracks. 6.9/10

KING&QUEEN Harder song, with akward vocals segments in the melody, but a well balanced powerful chorus that is greatly apreciated (specially after the album's last tracks) and get the album to greatness again. The closing rap verses where a exciting and smart way of ending the song. 7,5/10

Entr'acte Mysterious instrumental interlude with etheral sound. No real value for me, but manages to give 閃光 a bit more of momentum.

閃光 it was great on the single and it's still great here. Inteligent use of guitars keep the song away of being monotonous and the melody is very good. 8/10

風凛 It pretends to be a bland ballad for the first seconds but it turns out like a powerfull and moving slow song with a retro/classic vive to it. It sounds really conservative to me but works really well and the percussion really moves the song forward. I liked it specially just before the guitar solo gets in (wich is also really good). The instrumental ending sound a bit like pono jazz but essentially, great song. 8.5/10

GEMINI-0-eternal fuck yeah. Emotional but strong and interesting. This song just feels right for them Props for the acoustic part near the end, with that great expresive voice and the background synths 9/10

GEMINI-I-the void this second movement acts a heavier core of the piece and it's made of win. If noly all A9 songs where like this! Guitars remind me of some SOAD songs. All instruments work marverls and the voice suits everything perfectly and performs almost flawlessly. 9.5/10

GEMINI-II-the luv despite it's metallic entrance, the last act of the GEMINI piece is the most calm and emotive part, and works ecually well. It references 0-eternal with more acustic (wich I also liked) and end a fantastic trilogy with it. Great job. 9/10

birth in the death electric beats, distorsions and minimalism. A not surprising choice for start the album's clousure. The final boost with the keybord and the rock sounds is really appealing. 7.5/10

Overture fun electronic heavy rythm filler track. I love them. The also added this mysterious etheral thing the have pulled off through the album wich is cool as well as the guitar work. 6.8/10

This album has surprised me greatly. It's a blast, even with some weak songs. 8.5/10 no doubt.

  8. I'll give Jui's new music a try, but if Shun, Giru and Rame produced all the music I'm afraid it will be a crappy ballad-fest.

    This.

Also, I won't be surprised if the only quality music Jui does is as LEGENDARY SIX NINE guest vocalist (wich is quite likely to happen imo).

  9. Destiny sounds like Serenade but with less punch. Piano is underused and fails to impress. The vocals where great.7/10

Glowing Butterfly is dumb and pretencious. It throws a lot of stuff to the song but does not craft nothing interesting or unique. In fact the song sound quite like something any jap newbie vk metal would do. At least it's not bad. 5,8/10

Libido is better imo. It's less ambitious and allows the band to outshine with their great perfomance. The composition it's lots more simple but the spanish influences and the fun melody are greatly entretaining. 8,4/10.

Good single, but not as good as their previous works. I would rate it with a 7 overall. At least Philia looks more interesting!
