I'm also a Win8 user with a non-touch screen and its pretty easy to manuever once you've dug into it. It has a standard desktop feature and that's what I normally run out of. I only switch to the "home" screen for a few things like the search functions and shortcuts to programs. I haven't noticed any clunky feeling to it at all. I'm also not entirely sure what features are unavailable to non-touch screen users. It sure seems like I can access everything easily from here.

Are you saying they've "made it" in the American mainstream metal market? Or am I misreading you? Because they were never even close to headlining their own tours over here. And I can also tell you that by their touring schedule they put in a ton more time in the European market. If they were trying to get in anywhere... it was over there.

I agree, I don't think a new OS is going to help since the blue screen is usually a hardware failure. Most of my experience with it had to do with hard drive problems (viruses or an actual factory defect), Owl has recommended what I would say as well, try 7 again if that's what you already have. It will let you know fairly quickly if it's a simple software problem. You were probably recommended to upgrade since the mouse and tablet problems sound like driver errors, but that's another thing simply re-installing your current OS should fix.

The samples sound good. Since there is the impending hiatus having the songs feel more melancholy (versus as heavy as the recent stuff) feels right. I like the balance of tempo they chose.

After all the effort they've made to be a part of the global metal community this is just, I don't know what they are thinking. I can hang with this new lighter sound but a lot of people are gonna be upset that they keep moving in this direction and I can certainly understand why. I mean this is getting into like... hard rock territory. :/ Waiting to hear the other songs on this release, maybe it's just the lead track by the sounds of some of the other comments.

I agree, there is a laundry list of better directors for this type of film concerning what the fans of the series want to see. But Sanders got better numbers on Snow White's opening weekend than Batman Begins or The Matrix and in 2 years is still outselling both in long term sales. And we all know what Hollywood responds too when it comes down to it. They're looking for a director to make it approachable and marketable to the "typical" American viewer. They give a rat's ass if it's an influential anime or not. They just want to know if it'll make them money. Either way, regardless of director I don't have many high hopes for Hollywood doing it any justice, and over all I agree with you. It's probably gonna bomb.

They were going to white-wash Akira so I won't be surprised if they try to do it here too. I already don't like this lead actress. I do however like the director and Snow White and The Huntsman (I just suffered from the same problem of hating his lead actress, maybe he can try to keep his hands off this one?). So I guess I'll wait to see who the rest of the line up is and if they're trying to move the setting out of Japan, ect. If they do I won't even bother with this. GitS is my favorite Anime series ever and any live action would scare me but seeing Margot Robbie as the lead where there are like 100 better options makes me disappointed already.

Oh wow, I heard he fixed his teeth but he really does look great! (I agree he was still adorable before, tho)

I know FALILV, Aliene Ma'riage, and Jay park on that list. But I haven't listened to any Jay Park since his first release after leaving 2PM. I should catch back up with him though, because I remember enjoying his solo work. I just tend to forget about it. >_>;;;; Each Of The Days - "Event Horizon" Patrick Stump - "Coast (It's Gonna Get Better)" Chiodos - "Closed Eyes Still Look Forward" D.I.D - "avaritia" Florence + The Machine - "Heartlines (Acoustic)" Alter - "Promise You" A Day To Remember - "I've Heard It's the Softest Thing Ever" 韩庚 - "狂草" (Han Geng - "Wild Cursive") MUCC - "Marry You" Prompts - "Vendetta" Not enthused with this shuffle at all. I mean, I like these songs, obviously, but I just wasn't in the mood for half of them right now I guess. *shrug* Lots of middle of the road stuff.

My Japanese chin (named Loki) snores the loudest out of anyone in the entire house. He also loves to crawl into bed with people and then slowly push their heads from the pillow with his body until he's totally stolen it from you. He also does the notorius "chin spin" every time he gets excited about walks, or people coming over, dinner... anything really.

I'm just curious, where/when did Taka say he wouldn't be screaming anymore in OOR songs? I mean, screaming was never that prominent in their music anyway, but it feels weird to just rule it out completely. Like, why limit yourself?? :/

Can you actually sue for a song being a "derivative" of work? Last I checked a lot of artists wear their influence from their idols on their sleeves. I mean, most songs in the pop market today basically cannibalize each other. But this song isn't using the same drum beat, bass line, or vocal melody... it just carries the same "spirit". What the industry has called a "throw back" track for some time now. I'll be surprised if they win this case, it'd open the door for a lot of chaos in the industry. I agree, watching this unfold will certainly be entertaining. Bye bye Robin Thicke.

I find it harder to find good English while dealing exclusivly in vk, but when you go outside it you can find more fluent English speakers/singers. Outside of what violetchain already said I have loads more flipping through my playlists... After Tonight, [Alexandros], The Bonez (shares the vocalist of RIZE), Cleave, Crossfaith, FACT, LOKA (same singer as Supe & Undivide), MAN WITH A MISSION, Radwimps, Shores, SiM, The Winking Owl, etc.... Then there's bands like fade, Monkey Majik and Shark Ethic that have non-Japanese native English speakers for vocalists.

Maybe not the most beautiful to other people, but they are certainly my favorite.

The new Emarosa album is everything to me right now. ♥♥♥

That's kinda interesting. If the new solo HBO can give me all of their material/channels for $10 a month that I used to pay $50 a month through my provider, that would certainly be something.

I got Reno. I'm very okay with this. XD

The Flickers - "supersonic"

I really love most of Mucc's album intros/SE's, they're always really interesting to me... Homura Uta, Shinsou, Kuchiki no tou, 666, Suion, Kyutai, Chemical Parade (not sure if that's correct order but eh..) I'm almost let down at this point if they don't have one. Intros NEW BREED - "-intro-" Super original name, I know, but one of the few intros that really does a good job of amping the listener up and preparing them for what is coming from the rest of the album. It's a little bouncy electronic piece that sets up for all the synth background work this band does. Love it. blessthefall - "2.0" When this album dropped and this was the first thing I got to hear I lost my shit. It still gets me so hype I can't deal. Nothing original or unique, but exactly what I want from a band like them. It's just perfect. Outros Dance Gavin Dance - "12 Hours. 630 Miles" Perfect ending to arguably their best album. It blends almost seamlessly from the last song and really leaves you in this calm and sentimental place after the album was an emotional roller coaster. And there Jonny Craig's voice is one of my most favorite things in this world and he sounds flawless here. Crossfaith - "Chemicarium" It reminds me of the ending of a storm and it being safe to come back outside. The beat is like the calming and slowing of one's heart, but it's also intense at the same time, somehow.

Dat Gaze and D'espa~ ♥ Actually I like most of that playlist. ^^ MUCC - "咆哮" (houkou) Slipknot - "Wait And Bleed [bloody Mess RX]" In Flames - "Colony" BUCK-TICK - "MISS TAKE -I'm not miss take-" BAELSCOPE - "DISCHARGE" DuelJewel - "RED BEASTを殺せ!!" Drunken Tiger - "내 눈을 쳐다봐 - Feat. Bizzy, YDG, 정인" LM.C - "little Fat Man boy" Dropkick Murphy's - "Kiss Me, I'm Shitfaced" Fall Out Boy - "Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued (Live)" Super happy with most of this. Could have skipped the DuelJewel and Slipknot remix, personally tho. Also instead of color highlighting, I'm just gonna link my faves for people to hear them if they wanna.

Seconding a lot of picks already mentioned: BUCK-TICK - "ドレス" (dress) Alice Nine. - "Velvet" D'espairsRay - "Garnet" D'ERLANGER - "La Vie en Rose" X Japan - "Kurenai" & "Endless Rain" La'Mule - "Knife" Dir en grey - "Obscure" & "Cage" hide - "Pink Spider" & "Rocket Dive", Some of my own classic picks: MUCC - "絶望" & "リブラ" (zetsubou & libra) L'arc~en~Ciel - "Ready, Steady, Go" the Gazette - "体温" & "千鶴 (taion & chizuru) Sticking with just vk for this because trying to do the whole of Jrock would be massive and time consuming and out of my knowledge range anyway. lol.

Yes, it was a long time, back when this forum had a totally different name. XD We can support each other with social anxiety issues. Seen me around? I do try to join in discussions more because I promised another forum member I'd be more active, so I try to check in once a day. Hopefully I'm not spamming up the place? lol. D'espairsRay were definitely in the first 10 vk bands I ever heard. Maybe even first 5, I can't remember it so clearly anymore. But they were fairly early on for me too in my jrock adventures. And, yeah... saw you in the other thread about GazettE. I try my best to keep up with all the special typesets for all the bands names but it's so hard! Oi~. Too many to remember! Hizumi's voice will forever be one of my all time favorites. Thanks for accepting my last.fm request. \o/ Feel free to ask my about anything in my library that looks interesting to you. I'll look forward to your future scrobbles.

Welcome to MH! I hope you enjoy your time here. No need to feel self conscious, we're all different types around here. I feel some of your pain about posting in a new forum. I was a member here for years and only lurked about. Maybe 4 years before I ever said anything besides "thank you!" ... I see you like D'espa and DELUHI. I love them too. <3 Also, do you mind if I add you on last.fm? I'm always looking for more friends there (I'm nosey and like to see everyone's music taste hehe). ^^

I also love that D'LORE track, Rocketeer. I miss that band something fierce. I was about to start a thread similar to this but glad I searched for one first. The songs that get me through dark times tend to stick with me the most, but there are a couple that remind me of certain times or people that effected me in a unique way. I tried doing a little write up for each track but some of it is just so personal I'm not comfortable putting it out for everyone to see, that, and this post became a novel so I deleted it. orz Dir en grey - "Cage" xTRiPx - "limpid" (the original, but since I can't find the original on youtube you get the re-recorded version here) bis - "Start" MUCC - "我、在ルベキ場所" the GazettE - "Discharge" Pay money To my Pain - "Another Day Comes" ONE OK ROCK - "Liar" coldrain - "NEVER LOOK AWAY" Not exactly chronological order, but close. And you can see when my interests shifted out of vk... lol. But yeah. All of these songs bring up some strong memories. First times, last times, times you'd rather not remember....
