I can maybe understand some of what you guys are saying in reference to his guitar riffage feeling recycled. It is not changing like it used to... but he's also older and probably not looking into as much guitar inspiration as he used to, either. So if you're more into his older styles... well, that's you're prerogative, I couldn't really stand Miyavi until Miyaviuta so my expectation of him is probably largly different than someone who's been with him since the beginning. If taking one element in and removing another isn't enough change for you, personally... well I don't know what to tell you. He may be capable of more but this is obviously what he's interested in doing now and I still think it's strong song writing and the new elements keep it fresh. But I'm okay with being a minority in that, I guess. I think trying to compare an artist's current music to their older music without looking into its stand alone merits as well (aka the new elements he's adding and the quality of techniques used while adding it) is selling it a bit short, but that's just me. I think he is trying, he's just not trying in the aspects you want him to.

Sounds like a catchy pop song to me, not sure what's so bad about it? I mean, unless you just aren't a fan of the female vocalist kinda singing over the guitar work... I could have used a little less of that. But otherwise, total dance party over here.

  5. That seems sudden. And retiring at that. Wow. I wonder if there are outside circumstances or it was just his personal choice. Either way, best of luck to him.

Beautiful vocals. This was a really great surprise! 10/10 from me. I could listen to a lot more from this singer.
  8. Preview sounds pretty decent to me. Curious to hear the full song.

"Dir en gay" is probably one of the oldest ones I remember. "Gay-zette" Too easy tho... "Giruga-mess" "Fuck-Dick" for Buck-Tick "suck-it-kyo" sukekiyo There's also a joke for Spanish speakers when you call LM.C by their full name as Lovely Mocochang because it translates to "Lovely booger-chang".

Yay! More artists I know. Gonna have to say 12012 is my favorite of those, this time. But can't really remember what that song sounds like at the moment. Poets of the Fall - "Heal My Wounds" D'ERLANGER - "IS THIS LOVE" FACT - "better days" TOTALFAT - "Fat or Die" Paramore - "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)" (Loretta Lynn cover) The Beatles - "Wait" LM.C - "Rainbow Magic Orchestra" Field Of Forest - "The Eighth Day Cicada" RENTRER EN SOI - "JUST MAD PAIN" Smashing Pumpkins - "Today" Holy nostalgia, Batman! Some of these songs brought me back. I haven't listened to Smashing Pumpkins in ages. And I hate that Paramore cover, I need to remove it from my library asap.

Yeah, so far the 3 teasers I've seen still aren't creepy to me, either.

Just saw they have headlining dates for the UK & EU listed in November. Kinda surprised they're already rebooking for the end of October for a month long tour... I hope Kazuki is getting enough time to recover.

Yes to Bloody Mary, Agony, and カゲロウ. The rest I don't know so well... But I do enjoy Monkey Majik now and again. -OZ- - "STIGMA" We Came As Romans - "The Way That We Have Been" Rhythmic Toy World - "8535" BUCK-TICK - "君のヴァニラ" JL - "Green Goblin(Freestyle)" Anberlin - "There Is No Mathematics to Love and Loss" Of Mice & Men - "The Ballad of Tommy Clayton & The Rawding Millionaire" マキシマム ザ ホルモン - "マキシマム ザ ホルモンのテーマ~麺カタこってり" B1A4 - "Empty Mind" D'ERLANGER - "SADISTIC EMOTION" I was really torn between picking Anberlin and OM&M, but then D'ERLANGER came on and there was no contest. haha. And some of my hip-hop music finally showed up in a shuffle. I was wondering when that would happen.

Also, the label argument doesn't really work because many non-visual bands release full PVs on youtube for singles/minis/albums all the time. Not only the major labels, but indies as well. So it's strange that the visual kei labels would be the only ones milking this resource?
