  1. I don't know who they are but the music in the first video sounds interesting. It's just the chorus I'm not convinced with, too poppish.
  2. seikun

I can hear guitar being played. Very unusual in this band whose music is saturted with computer-generated sounds.
  3. seikun

I liked the energy of this band. Something comedic about them.

KISAKI should re-open Under-Code Productions, recruit Satsuki and guide him in every step.
  5. seikun

Are they performing this year? It's now 10 years since the band began activities.
  6. HYDE has also fallen prey to the horrible synth I despise in today's VK bands.
  7. No English, Kamijo until you receive proper lessons.
  8. The vocalist sounds like suffering from dysphonia... I don't like the looks of the basist; it doesn't suit the style of the band.
  9. seikun

    Any videos of this?
  10. I don't know why bands like this have guitars and bass, they're literally just accessories. Bring back the times when Visual Kei bands had guitars and a bass being the music line with nice hypnotising solos and etc.
  11. A little question, how do you say "don't tempt me" in Japanese? Temptation as when being seduced/enticed by someone. Thanks.

straight up "don't tempt [me]" translation from rude to less rude
      誘惑すんな
      誘惑するな
      誘惑しないで(よ)

"no tempting allowed" - slightly more playful sounding
      誘惑はダメだ(よ)
      誘惑しちゃダメだ(よ)

i can't let myself get tempted/lose to temptation
      誘惑されちゃダメだ(よ)
      誘惑に負けちゃダメだ(よ)

Wow, so detailed. I was having problems constructing the sentece as it was always in my mind the "me" part. Thank you very much, @cvltic

Are you asking about 誘惑, @platy ? It is read as "yuuwaku" (ゆうわく).

  12. A band like this doesn't need to go "Visual Kei".
  13. Does anybody recognise the band at 2:39? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lqjxFePeI4

I think the musicians are good, but I feel like this band lacks something musically. It's like the songs are somehow soulless, repetitive and cliche to some extent. Probably working on solo intros with some level of complexity, emotion and beauty could fix it. I also feel the vocal is always in some kind of comfort zone where his singing is sort of monotone; his singing needs melodic fluctuations.
  15. seikun

I think the band would benefit if the vocal improved his singing. The musicians are great so the vocal needs to live up to that level.
  16. Does anybody happen to know what "slaever" means? It's a song by Syndrome and I have never found its meaning.

  17. seikun

Kind of cool name for a band. Visually they seem to combine late 80's early 90's and early 2000's aesthetics. I would like to listen to studio version of their music to have a better view of their music.
  18. seikun

Nice pics. I still wonder if there any pics of Noir fleurir members.
  19. I don't think Visual Kei bands ever tried to break into the west; I think it was the west that was interested in their music and managed to bring them over to the west. For most VK bands it was quite a surprise their music had an audience outside Japan.
  20. It's so refreshing to listen to Syndrome after many years. Currently stuck with Sosei.

Kind of liked this sample, but the tired synth I always complain about gets me on my nerves. No need for such overused irritating sound. He instead needs a leading guitar with powerful lines to fill his music. Hope he does good.
  22. Someone reacted to Phantasmagoria. Wanna give him some more views?

You're not obliged to watch them. It's an invitation. You can save your time to leave a comment if you don't want to watch.

  23. Hmm, I think the band needs to prioritise guitars and the bass with nice guitar and bass lines. So much focus on the synth immediately lowers the quality of their music. Kagrra used to add the Japanese-ness with their musical instruments and they did it greatly. I'm tired of overused monotonous-sounding guitar lines that make you feel nothing and can barely being heard. Although I'm now wondering if they actually now how to play the guitar and bass or it is just an act...
