Lately I've been obsessed with RAU DEF, Shinhwa and re-obsessed with L'arc. Really strange, I know.

I've listened to everything mentioned lol and if I don't listen to them regularly, it's because I don't like them. ;p As for OP's list, I do recommend BJC. I like GN Boyz, but it's more of preference, they're really nothing special overall. Don't bother with X though. A more boring band in Japanese music I've never heard lol. When I was first getting into Japanese music they were everywhere and I kept trying their stuff and was just like, wtf this sucks why does everyone like them? Fortunately I found other bands, rest is history, etc. Oh, also, I never cared for Supercar, but have you tried iLL? The singer Koji Nakamura's solo is quite good.

Oh I haven't done this in awhile.... As for the songs in the previous post, I would go with Nirvana as I'm not interested in the rest of those bands lol. And the strange discussion about where songs come from, Idk if this shuffle will show it, but I definitely have way more than VK and J-indie in my 30k song library lol. Hahah oh gosh this is easy for me. L'arc. I can't help liking, and in some cases really liking, their music. But I cannot stand them as a band and especially Hyde.

Lyrics in languages I don't fluently understand don't matter to me at all. I rarely to never look up translations and I rarely attempt to translate them myself if I happen to have a working ability in the language. I can't help but understand song titles in say, French or Japanese, but I won't spend time trying to figure out even the gist of the song tbh. As far as English goes, I have a hard time with really stupid lyrics. If I can easily understand what's being said and I disagree with or find it retarded, then it really doesn't matter how great the music is, I won't be able to listen to it. This is mostly why I don't listen to much English music lol. As for a made-up language, sure why not. In fact, Sa Dingding sings a few songs in a made-up language. What's the difference between that and another language I have zero understanding of? To me, none. ETA , the Engrish thing. For me it depends on how understandable the Engrish is. For example, if I can't make out a single English word (i.e. Koki in Black and White), it doesn't bother me. But if I can hear things like "liding into the sunset" and similar awful pronunciation, I'm very likely to never listen to that song again.

If, as someone mentioned, old VK is the stuff with musical styles more in the goth/new-wave/etc vein and new VK is in the nu-metal vein, then I probably prefer new VK, but I like and hate elements of both lol. It's not really a war with me like it is with some people.
