Man, I just started Re:Zero and I honestly could barely get through the episode. I kind of hated it. I'm going to give it a try with a couple more episodes, but man that was not a good start.

You won't get the hang of the series without watching at least about 5 or 6 episodes. It's really misleading at the start because it needs to get into its flow, and it gets more intense and dark the further it goes. (If it's then still not your thing, I guess ReZero just isn't for you) But hell, it was the surprise of last season for me.

I agree with what @Original Sakusaid up there^. It's such a fresh wind in-between most of the series with a similar theme. I absolutely love how "real" Subaru is. How he gets his ups and downs. How he has to face the backlash of things he started without thinking things through. How he realizes he's fucked, basically.  Yes, there are definitely generic parts here and there but the main idea of the show, and Subaru's character development (greatly thanks to Kobayashi for voicing him so perfectly), are what keep me interested.

If the novel readers' comments are any indication, it'll just continue to get better and better.

  2. To all the people complaining that now "there won't be any news anymore" let me tell you this as a person who's written for newswebsites for years: when you see one person do 95% of the stuff, you're easily demotivated to even go and try to see if whatever news you've bumped into is already there or not. So people who want to help but aren't as quick will either see that person as an easy way out, "they'll do it, I guess. Maybe already did", or will just start believing they're simply "not good enough" to bother posting anything at all.  With such a person not around anymore, people will be more inclined to actually post a thing when they come across it. The "next gen" MH news people will show up by themselves for sure.

That said, Trombe did lots of work through these years, and all of it was because they felt like it. While they might not have made the best decisions concerning issues and MH as a team, the work itself can't be ignored. But doing lots of work (essentially no one's asking you to do) doesn't equal being able to do whatever the fuck you want to. Rules are rules. And they are there for every single one of us.

They still have a number of PVs left unreleased in the DVD format; i.e. Zecchou Bang!! (no even a full version), Zantetsuken (a full version was aired only on TV),  INCOMPLETE, Drain, gravitation, and chimera.

It's like they half-assedly ended their career if they still have these PVs unreleased even though most of them have been uploaded on YouChube in HQ.

Still pretty sure this disbandment came out of nowhere. Everything shows it did. Whether it was a company issue, a band issue, a member issue or a combo of all of them, it was all way too sudden. I'm sure that if they'd have had the time, they'd have done a proper tour in Japan before ending the band as a whole.

just finished ReLIFE in two sits. from the first sight it looked like just another generic school anime crap with fireworks and beach episodes. well there wasn't beach episode yet but i have the feeling there will be one somewhere in the future lol. dunno why but i actually ended up liking this shit. maybe it was because i haven't watched school animes for literally ages and it was in some way "refreshing", or maybe there is more to it than it might seems at first. that twist in the last episode caught me off guard tbh, though it was only because i didn't pay a lot of attention to the anime, watching it in really relaxed mode. character-wise it was also good, nothing outstanding but what would you expect from this kind of stuff? anyway, it was worth watching. will be looking forward to 2nd season in a few years i guess.

Tbh, I've watched a lot of crappy shoujo series in the past few years and didn't expect much of this one either, but it really surprised me. It wasn't very deep or amazing, but it did what it had to do and did it really well.

You can say that again! This weeks episode was like hype personified :D I'm almost certain it will get a second season, not only is the manga really popular but from what I can tell the anime is as well.

Boku no Hero Academia better be getting another season,I've been addicted to the manga lately and this weeks episode was insanely well done.

For some reason I thought this was either split cour, or second season already confirmed. But I might be mixing up a few series. Either way, I'm pretty sure there'll be another cour at least.

Resonance of Fate is one of the few JRPGs I couldn't bring myself to finish.
Something about the combat system thoroughly pissed me off =_= Just couldn't get the hang of it.

I understand this completely though. But I guess I just like to suffer sometimes. Once you get the hang of it it's alright, though I'm sure there's quite a bit of depth I still have to learn about.

I've read the novel that one's based on, In The Miso Soup, Piercing and Coinlocker Babies, and tbh the only one out of all those that i REALLY liked was Coinlocker Babies, I could totally see Sono doing a film adaption of that one. The other ones were alright enough, I guess, but sort of had the 'Chuck Palahniuk' effect on me where it feels like the author's trying too hard to be edgy and shocking...

Himizu's interesting, it takes place in the time after the whole Fukushima disaster and the whole trouble surrounding it, I suggest you check it out!

That Himizu part isn't completely right. The story itself already existed as a manga and was adapted by the director to fit the Tsunami/Fukushima disaster. But it doesn't revolve around it!

You need to watch Strange Circus, Love Exposure, Guilty of Romance and Himizu for sure. Quality films!

Ah, Love Exposure and Himizu are still two of my fave movies ever. Really great leads for both as well.

  8. Haaaah, I've been keeping myself from continuing the last bit of extras on my PS2 because I just can't deal with those graphics anymore (+ it was already rumored). Glad that it's finally out.

Also really happy with the dual audio. They should have done that with X/X-2 too (correct me if I'm wrong and they did but I just missed it).

Even though she just released a collaboration with vocalist Chelly for the anime "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress", it was revealed that female soloist Aimer will be collaborating with ONE OK ROCK's Taka and Ling Toshite Shigure's TK for her upcoming double a-side single "Insane Dream/Us". She will release another yet untitled single a month later, this time working together with Radwimps' Noda. The singles will be released in July and August.

The teaser video is in one of the source links but is sadly blocked outside of Japan.

    Source (1,2)

At first I assumed they'd all just be composing and producing her songs but it seems like the MV teaser for Taka's "Insane Dream" has him singing too. I've been listening to her for a while now but I got to say this collaboration kind of got me hyped a little. Can't wait to see/hear what the other songs will sound like.

Though I didn't have time to fully translate their comments all three of them met her one way or another and fell in love with her voice and style.

For people who don't know, Aimer was the opening act for one or two of OOR's concerts last year.

  10. Hmm. These are the ones I've been listening to most recently, I guess.

    amazarashi

    PENGUIN RESEARCH

    coldrain

    NOISEMAKER

    MY FIRST STORY

    Wrong City

    LOCAL CONNECT

    Another Story

    OLDCODEX

ONE OK ROCK (Though I'd rather add Girugamesh considering they haven't been really "VK" for a while)

  11. For some reason this doesn't come as a surprise but on the other hand they seemed like a band that could have gone on for ages. Been listening to them since way back when and saying this doesn't at least hurt a little would be a lie.

Now I'm also extra sad that I can't go to the European tour because of circumstances, even though I initially was planning on going. It's been 7 years since I saw them live and I never really thought they'd "not come back" one day.

I guess at least I'm glad they're going out with Chimera for a last release rather than something like Now or Go.

We had a good run, Giru. You'll be missed.

I need to finish watching Gundam Unicorn as well. Don't even remember where I left off with that one :/

Might as well just watch the anime run that started this season. I totally forgot most of the OVAs and never managed to finish them, so I'm just watching the anime series at the moment. Not sure if it'll have additional scenes or anything, but it should be mostly the same.

  13. I think I'm one of the few people to actually say this is a good thing. Not specifically for the reason they say it is, but have you ever stood in a pit with people dancing and moshing around while a whole bunch of people are trying to film things and take pictures? You know how many times they look at you like you've murdered someone just because "oh no, my picture got ruined thanks to you". Then when they drop their phones and the screens crack, it's also your fault because you bumped into them. First few rows or balcony places are totally something else but don't take pics when you're in the middle of a moving crowd :/ (it's also annoying when other people who aren't filming are trying to look at what's happening on stage. You just get arms flinging around trying to take the perfect shot of their idols)

I'm also not really sure on what's so fun about watching a full gig through your phone/camera's screen while the people are playing right in front of you.

I'm really happy to see that they brought back the compatibility rating. Would be nice if it still told you the main artists that you have in common, but oh well, it's a start.

Compatibility with other users? It's been showing that for months!? The artists you have in common as well?!

I know it's totally possible, but the thing is Kyo would spit out this thick and bright red blood. Didn't seem real at all.

the cuts on his chest and all were definitely real, but I've always been sceptical about the blood from his mouth. It just didn't feel possible + as you said, it looked too bright to be actual blood.
