Two books. The aquariums of Pjongjang by Kang Chol-hwan and Pierre Rigoulotand; and Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick. Both about North Korea. I've already read Escape from camp 14 by Blaine Harden. Should also read The circus of Pjongjang (?) which just got released. It was written by a Finnish... athlete, I think? Or someone related to sports. I'm really into NK right now.

Both versions of カメレオ's album なう! for myself and the regular edition for my gf. Boohoo there goes $100. I love this band too much.

I don't think you're actually annoying anyone here. We just don't agree with what you say and point out some weaknesses in your arguments. That's called a conversation, you know. If you think all people who disagree with you and wanna point that out are annoyed with you, you're gonna have bad time there, buddy. To me it rather seems like you're annoyed and defensive because some many people came to oppose your views.

Arithmetica pretty much summarized it. Being all electro and colorful is today's VK's thing. If you don't like it, that's alright, but it isn't any less inspiring or any less unique than what kotekote bands were compared to each other. And to clear things up again: I don't like BFN. I wanna like them, because I'm a huge Vidoll fan and used to be even more huge Rame fan. So I'm not really defending this band, and whatever you say can't possibly make me feel butthurt because I know well enough how much BFN sucks ass. Yet, I think there are certainly worse bands than BFN, and one of them is Xodiack. Because Eros is as much of a greedy little bastard as anyone. Like you might know, Xodiack didn't sell too well (why that might be, I don't know. I mean, they were so great! *sarcasm*). Whereas you think this type of music isn't mature, I think it's as mature as music can get. It's about being flexible and admitting to one self that you can't always stick with your ideals and do everything and everything alone what appeals fun to you. If you wanna live on music, you gotta need to do something that sells. And obviously, Xodiack didn't and didn't even have a chance to. So Eros went to a band where he could do something he likes, not at least hate what he does and be actually able to earn some pocket money. It's that simple. That's why people that "used to make great, inspiring, original, unique music" tend to go to "shitty sell-out bands". Because shitty sell-out bands sell better. :'D

You can't be serious with this statement? I mean, I'm waiting for BFN to be actually good but do you seriously think Xodiack was better? :'D I have no idea who did the composing in that band, but obviously he either wasn't very good at his job or just didn't give a shit. And eze:qul too? Rame hardly even knew how to hold the bass the right way! Geez, even Vidoll in the beginning was pretty amateur stuff, even though some people choose to see those years as their best. No, Rame is not doing his best in this band, but thinking he was more talented in eze:qul is just ridiculous.

I disagree with you. I think the singles were really good, especially the title songs. Anyways. KIRYU. WUT R U DOIN. KIRYU. STAHP. The fuck is wrong with this band. :'D Do they have note soup instead of alphabet soup every morning and decide their new melodies based on that? That's the only way to explain how in earth they can release new stuff every 3 months. NO ONE HAS SUCH A LIMITED STASH OF CREATIVITY WITH THEM. Especially since this band only has like 2 composers, when bands with 4 composers are doing slower job. No, wait... Kameleo only has one composer and they're pretty much doing the same thing here... wow.

DANGER CRUE has updated some information about the upcoming album「なう！」 The limited edition will include the songs 捏造ピエロ (netsuzou pierot)、検索結果0 (kensaku kekka 0)、始まりの歌 (hajimari no uta)、サンドウィッチLOVE (sandwich LOVE) and 6 new songs, making it a total of 10 songs. The DVD will have the following contents: 1.「君となう。」Music clip (Kimi to nau music clip) 2.「君となう。」Music clipメイキング (Kimi to nau music clip making of) 3.「なう！」レコーディングドキュメンタリー (Nau recording documentary) The limited edition will cost 3,675yen. The regular edition will have the same songs as the limited edition, with an additional extra song, making the album a total of 11 songs. The regular edition will cost 3,150yen. The titles of the rest of the songs have not been finalized yet.

I agree with Gizorz above. I once watched a documentary on guys working in maid-cafés in Japan. One of them told about one incident, when his girlfriend found his pair of stockings in his car. Instead of saying "Yeah I work at a maid café" he lied to his girlfriend by saying he's been cheating on her. In a culture, where cheating is more socially accepted than dressing up as a woman, you definitely can't say Visual kei is more socially acceptable than anywhere else. So yeah, I've watched an American show where transgender girls (that's how they called themselves, I'm not being intolerant here) did makeovers for women. By your standards, this should mean being transgender is totally accepted in the states because they show it on TV. There will always be people drawn closer by oddities like VK and stuff, that's true, but it doesn't make it generally acceptable in any society.

カメレオ, like ever since they started activities. Because I needed something to replace the empty space in my heart that being disappointed with BFN left me with. Also, they've constantly had decent, strong releases with no disappointment factor and they keep getting better. They make being obsessed with them really easy, too. 8D New releases like every 3 months, a lot of merchandise sold on auction sites, bunch of interviews, even in English...

They also have an official English facebook page >here<. Wow, just wow. Danger Crue is doing amazing job at promoting Kameleo outside Japan. Gotta give them kudos for that. They're certainly aiming at making Kameleo the next Gazette. 8D

Seems like Danger Crue has started to market Kameleo in South Korea. I found this on their official YouTube channel: The Korean version, not only has it subtitles in Korean, also has a longer beginning with a bit of a background story for the subject of the PV, as well as a slightly longer, more in-depth ending. This's getting interesting.

Kameleo is the best~ Also: wtf with two Finnish bands. Aye, mate, are you an American or a Finn? (The one track with actual Finnish title made me chucle a bit.) The band I have the most songs of is Vidoll and yet it decided to pick 4 Arc songs. :'D (My iTunes loves KO-JI almost as much as I do.)

The pain in my back, that has tortured me for 3 weeks already, won't leave me alone. I have to be on heavy meds all the time to be able to tolerate it. Meaning that most of the day I just sleep since the drugs make me drowsy.

Okay guise, why are we even having this conversation? @ miyuu If you read my first message to kurenaishineek carefully, you'll notice that I never claimed Kiryu or FUTURISM BOYZ or Kameleo to be successful. I only said they're unique, and to THAT you decided to answer "yeah they're cute but seriously", implying that you think they're not. I wasn't trying to prove they're the next Gazette. I was only saying that, imo, they do something that no other band has done before, even if it's just an unique combination of already done things. Whether they're successful (what I, yet, think Kameleo is) has nothing to do with it. @ Biopanda I love you. Totally in a platonic way, but I do. Because everyone's gotta deal with Hikaru's swag.
