Now I remember why I found 90% of Saruin's material boring.
-
can Ginger and Katya just share the title this season and the remaining episodes just be them talking trash in the smoking area, please?
-
geez that tracklist looks lame. weird seeing them jump into the caps vibe. hope this one gets online soon (actually no hope whatsoever though as even their last single has gone forgotten and not uploaded anywhere)

This season feels weird. There are some queens I like, but none that I'm genuinely rooting for as much as I did for people like Bianca, Adore, Jinkx, Latrice, Raven and Sharon. Katya is by far my favorite though (I like her better on YouTube and social media than on the show itself), followed by Ginger. I'm starting to warm up to Violet and don't really care for any of the others (still think Pearl and Fame should've left ages ago). The challenges this season are crap, so that might be playing a big role on how I feel about the whole thing. Big hopes for the Reading is Fundamental section next episode though!

As much as I like SIZNA, from what I remember, Atsuto was a much bigger presence in Sugar music-wise. But I do somewhat agree he can do more and that it'd be cool to see him having a side project again. However, I'm perfectly fine with him in Moran as he complements their sound really well. When Velo quit, SIZNA was the only one I thought could do them justice and thankfully it was exactly what happened.

that line-up

Obviously can't tell much from these, but it seems it's in the same vein as Tokyo. I liked their latest album (it's definitely a grower), but I hope they don't completely drop their shoegaze-y elements.

Song is mediocre if compared to some of their past work, yes, but it's still catchy as hell.

really digging this new Lianne~

Super excited for that new Namie album. I think she did something really cool with her EDM sound with "FEEL", but then it got tired quick. I liked TSUKI and BRIGHTER DAYS too, but not they just feel like leftovers. lol New Salyu is alright; despite the weird chorus. I need new salyu x salyu. ):

I thought this was a new KAMIJO project from the title. Samples sound good. Not sure how I'd deal with an entire album with that voice, but I might check it out.

I can't help but feel sad for them. Having to celebrate 11 years at Meguro Rockmaykan is a huge slap in the face.

Hm... Japanese: Oldest: Ryuichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (1983) Newest: クラムボン - triology (2015, March 31st) In general: Oldest: Joni Mitchell - Ladies Of The Canyon (1970) Newest: Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell (2015, March 31st)

lol at anyone who thought this was true for even one second. Kagrra, is 100% dead, kaisan'ed, shuuen'ed forever etc.

They're home to B'z and Mai Kuraki, as well as BREAKERZ. Not a small label at all. I think AN CAFE only had a major distributing deal with Sony. Their releases always popped up in the indies section in Oricon iirc.

Love the new Perfume. Everything clicked with me at first listen. Don't really get what's disappointing about it.

I'm a night person, definitely. I feel more energized after midnight, especially when it comes to work. Almost all my papers in university were finished between 3 and 4am and I feel like I can study more efficiently knowing that nothing will bother me.

^ Not sure about how to feel about this. "Hush" and "Touch" are among my favorite kpop songs ever probably and I had high hopes they would keep a mature image, but I guess that isn't that appealing to their audience. Still, this new song is great nonetheless, although the lyrics are awful (they go from "I Don't Need A Man" to this? smh). More importantly, Jia and Fei continue to be stunning. <3

^ that setlist ;_; Gift was such a good band.

how did I not know Arukara had an alterego band AND a new album out?

jfc PSC is charging 2,320 yen for a 4-song mini-album now? what kind of desperation? EDIT: song in the sample video is kinda vanilla, but I actually like it.

^ lol fuck Alex and his rapist ass. That's a great setlist for the DVD btw, although not having Naihi Shinsho, Liar and Nobody's Home is a damn crime. Will try to watch it for sure. Hopefully the songs from JinseixBoku= sound better live.

I think the conversation about this has died down already, but I want to add that SuG started independently iirc. They were signed to PSC only after appearing on some V.A. (their song sucked, but PSC must've seen Takeru's potential to sell). Not counting these newer bands, I think RHYOLITE/ViViD is the only band they blatantly manufactured; SCREW and D=OUT were on SPEEDDISK for a while, BORN started as RENNY AMY (and then some other name later on) a long time ago, Gazette was on Matina, Kagrra, was related to KEY PARTY when they were still called CROW, etc. Not sure about Alice Nine (or Kra, but they're irrelevant) though.
