  1. What is dungeon synth, you say? Dungeon synth is a form for ambient that draws heavily from black metal and dark ambient. But I'll stop there and just quote a wiki instead: Everyone knows I'm very much into black metal, and while the music itself doesn't resemble black metal, the atmosphere sure do and I can't think of a genre closer to black metal than this. Which is probably why I've become such a huge fan, and in recent year the genre have seen a massive revival with a shitload of new artists popping up everywhere. So I've really gotten into the genre beyond Mortiis, and grown familiar with lots of new and old artists. I don't expect this thread to be popular at all, but if you like 90's black metal and listen to that type of music for the atmosphere I am sure you'll find this very interesting and enjoyable too, tbh. And it's the perfect soundtrack for an evening of tabletop RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and other fantasy games. Some of my favourite dungeon synth releases: Mortiis - The Song of a Long Forgotten Ghost Mortiis - Født til å herske Mortiis - Ånden som gjorde opprør Mortiis - Keiser av en dimension ukjent Mortiis - Crypt of the Wizard Wongraven - Fjelltronen Thangorodrim - Taur Nu Fuin Thangorodrim - Dagor Bragalloch Thangorodrim - Towers Of The Teeth Old Tower - Spectral Horizons Old Tower - The Rise Of The Specter Old Tower - Remembrance of the Lone Enclave This youtube channel uploads an incredible amount of dungeon synth, both old and new: The Dungeon Synth Archives
  2. Artist: fboy Album: tune Release: January 8, 2017 Label: 646224 Records DK Tracklisting: 01. sink 02. tune 03. dungeon 04. lights 05. gauntlet 06. portal 07. ghost 08. cold 09. imps 10. stone 11. you 12. dreamz 13. heal Stream: SoundCloud, Spotify Buy: iTunes, Amazon, Google Play Hello MH. Here is my new album that i've been working on for quite some time under the moniker fboy (a reference to my first AIM SN 'furikuri boy'). It's an instrumental album that is minimalistic at most with standard electronics. I have noticed it's a good driving and studying album. I hope you enjoy!
  3. After over 30 years, Midori Takada's "Through The Looking Glass" is finally getting re-issued on vinyl on March 31,2017. Previously only available as promo copies, "Through The Looking Glass" is being released by We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records in 2 editions. Limited Edition of 500, 2xLP (45rpm) €40 Regular Edition, LP (33rpm) €25 The album is available for pre-order on the label's bandcamp: http://wrwtfww.com/album/through-the-looking-glass The album is like a playground of experimental and classical sounds coming together to create a peculiar space full of nostalgia and discovery. It's like experiencing your childhood memories, which are often vague and empty but also comforting. The songs are minimalistic and it's easy to find yourself tranced in the rhythms and ambience of each track. If you haven't heard the album yet, I highly recommend it!

  9. The Moon Is Convergence is an experimental indie/hip hop project by lòrdan - best known for his electro solo project Furik and shoegazing hardcore project Cadogan. His music can be described as melodic vocals, minimalist rap with trip-hop style beats and the occasional drone acoustics and shoegazing rock distortion. He has been involved as the vocalists of experimental metal band Psychopomps, progressive death metal band Beyond the Break, and electro band I Capture All Your Monsters.
