Interesting. The DIRU IZ DED OMFG conversation has come up constantly since THE FINAL, and we've laughed it off as ridiculous. Now we're in a weird position where 3/5 of the band are doing other things, and the band themselves have been extensively touring most of their old material from past to present like some kind of last hurrah. These could be the final days. On the other hand, Dir en grey is WAY too big to just lie down. There's money there, whereas I doubt most people will care too much about these side-projects. Perhaps they're feeling creatively bankrupt as Dir en grey and need to move on. Or maybe these solo endeavours exist simply to fill in the down-time between DEG tours. 
 
Of course, we can speculate, but there's really no way of knowing.

as a diehard-hardcore fan of kuroyume, it's not even a question for me to decide whether to buy this or that, my friend

i know its not the appropriate location for reviews , but i need to say that
 
1. i appreciate them trying to hi-def-ing the old tracks into modern style (especially with the tracks from mid 2000's, tin-can snares were the worst)
 
2. i appreciate them trying to re-arrange and spice the old and new tracks to give them difference 
 
but
 
3. they literally murdered all tracks. the dead cold bodies were drowned to death by making all tracks sound a little 'slower',
 
4. and those little details in guitar tracks were snipped (those little accents in reila, without a trace, pledge, etc). it's like "oh what? weren't there suppose to be a →↗↘→")
 
5. i was dying to hear the new kare uta. . .. which happens to be the most decent re-arranged track amongst the rest of them. but the solo had that little off-melody end that disturbs me
 
but all in all, kudos ! 

SHADOWS new single + live DVD "chain reaction" will be released on 2017.03.08, ￥2,500.

Or they're trying to keep the band together by allowing all the members creative outlets outside of the realm of the band? Personally I feel like the band chemistry have gotten a lot better ever since sukekiyo started, for example. 
 
And, the band haven't looked happier together in years than they did on this tour, playing pranks on each other and having real fun while on stage. If this was 2005 I'd be worried about disbandment but right now things are looking bright, at least from an outside perspective.

i was screaming in joy! i loved him, he suits lynch perfectly.

i think this will be a good moment to re-assess themselves and comeback with a new image.

i am compelled to say that for me it isnt .
 
i loved, no, i love modern kuroyume as much as i do with the old school's
 
i wish there was thumbs down button so i could pummel it  (not meant to quarrel, just sayin')

this is #1 reason why i still choose bands that i choose to listen -- it's their consistency
(it's like classic cliche of choosing prius over a jag -- it's their reliability despite the 'meh-ness').
despite how "too consistent" lynch is,
id still rather choose them than giving bets on bands that are way too experimental ,
almost too experimental that it's kinda painful to watch their flimsy fate that'll eventually go to destruction.
 
but as a personal wish, 
i hope consistent and stable bands -- such as lynch,
would at least experiment and play a little for at least of couple tracks in an album
(2-3 experimental "holy-shit" tracks wont hurt the whole album)
 
but all in all, 
i still look forward to lynch, and all the rest of the "consistent" bands.

I agree. I feel like even though we get what is the standard Lynch songs on every album, they def do their best on the newer songs which i feel is what gives the albums their freshness. Immediately Fallen, Ghost, Cosmos, Dark, Beast, and Invader comes to mind when i think of in regards to D.A.R.K.
 
 
 
 
I can def see where ARCHE is coming from when it comes to BUCK-TICK. If you listen closely, they have a certain style/progression that they stick to most of the time. But the difference, which Platanity does a great job at explaining is that when it comes to the typical Lynch tracks, despite their tweaking...certain tracks or more or less of the same and its blatantly obvious.  With Buck-Tick tracks, you can hear the individuality in them. 
 
For almost every single lynch track, there is a damn near similar counterpart.

We could easily chalk it up to them not having enough time to come up with an album full of straight new material (which for them makes sense). OR (big or), it could be the case that the GazettE has and throwing those typical/altered songs in are what they are comfortable with doing on every album.

ive listened their music through some streamings from a russian (?) version of facebook (? i dont know, what do i know)
 
it aint bad -- for a japanese band. it's just that AS a japanese band,
 
i dont think this is the right music (maybe it could work against domestic market)
 
but it kinda sucks if you think this is a british/american band

(considering the japanese members could've composed something but it seems they didnt)
 
it's just decent music, nothing special, nothing too risky.
 
but as a personal opinion, big disappointment (although i am seriously in love with shadows!)
