  1. How do you romanize this Girugamesh's song title "枯れ咲歌"? Karesaki Uta or Karezaki Uta. I saw it written Karesaki Uta on their English OHP many years ago, but I'm not entirely sure if it's correct.

      Wait, no, the correct kanji is 枯咲き歌 not 故咲き歌. So I guess Karesaki Uta is the correct romanization.

      I think Kosaki and Karesaki are both acceptable transliterations of 枯咲き. The 枯 kanji can be read as コ, か(れる), or か(らす).

      The possibilities are infinite, Kosaki, Kozaki, Karesaki, Karezaki, Karasaki, Karazaki, lol

       

      I think Kosaki would be the best romanisation to go with. When 枯 is in a kanji compound without a hiragana particle next to it, it's most commonly pronounced as コ. Examples: 枯死(コシ)、枯渇(コカツ)
