Hello!
i'm still not very sure how to use this ;;
but i've recently gotten back into visual kei! after a few years and i kept ending up on this page so i wanted to give it a shot!
 
some of the bands i really enjoy are: Mamireta, DAMY, DEZERT, Kizu, the GazettE, Dir En Grey, there's probably more but those are the ones from the top of  my head at the moment but please recommend me some other bands! 
 
i also cosplay and play some videos games and love to shitpost ;;

This must be the most outlandish and fantastic fan theory I ever heard. Like aimi said according to every interview they've ever put out that I've read they pretty much were dudes in the local scene jumping from band to band and eventually the present formation sans Kai formed out of the corpses of these local bands. They were never affiliated with each other in any way since they were on totally different labels and based in a different city. All the bands that have deg associations are from the Dynamite Tommy family like Merry and Rentrer En Soi. If I'm not mistaken some Gazette members like Kai and Ruki had day jobs before making it big too, so any roadie story is just unlikely when deg was consistently touring the country from the moment of their inception and gazette dudes had barely had their first bands by the year 2000. I think the rivalry is the invention of western fans because in Japan they have nothing to do with each other
 
 

In my opinion, it's missing some flair. How about "Mega Homos of Monochrome Heaven"? I like the sound of it, it has some nice enunciation.
 
If that's a little much, then the current name is just fine imo. I imagine that a more PC name would be like "MH Gay-straight alliance" or "The MH LGBTQ+ Club" and that just sounds boring and drab to me.

I have at the moment 94 CD's; mostly VK and few anime/otome songs/K-Pop albums.
My 95th CD is on it's way so that's probably all
I've been collecting them probably around 8 years ago ^^
 
I also own a few cheki's, photo sets, few (signed) posters and a lightstick

I'll try to keep this short.  First off, I barely have posted anything on this site.  Mainly because of my shyness and a part of me not feeling as if I'm allowed to say things or have opinions of my own, so I don't believe that posting things on forums are for me.  Second, I've only used this site to read posts, so I don't really see a point in being seemingly active, but never posting anything.  
 
Basically I'm trying to say that I don't have any desire to post, and the occasion that I come on this site is rare.  Maybe I'll be back someday.

Nothing's better than playing with friends! I've been playing some Music Racer with @Cantavanda (when we can get it to work, that is) and it's a blast 'cause we always agree on the music selection  If any Monochromians ever get it or Audiosurf 2 then please add me on Steam so we can play together, I'd love to 😼

I can kind of understand why people lose interest in VK pretty fast. Personally I've been interested in it for a handful of years now but don't have the same love for it I once did. It's a very visually arty scene (duh!) which is attractive and there is decent music to be found alongside it. However, look at the scene, check the news thread here there are countless "new bands" popping up who never amount to anything, most bands who do last do nothing out the ordinary - have some nice visuals but generic music we've all heard MANY times before. Though you do get the odd band who are great and do really appeal and they end up completely changing style or disbanding as well. So basically, the average longevity of VK bands is pretty short and the new bands sound like dull versions of the bands you do like. Seems rare you get mind blowing VK bands nowadays. I still always support the bands I've always been into by buying their stuff and seeing them when in Japan if I can but the majority of bands I liked have either disbanded or changed style (to one I don't get much out of anymore) and most of the new bands are boring (in my opinion) so can see how people give up on the scene. But hell, there's always good music to be found (in any scene) and you can always enjoy the bands who do survive and still listen to the bands who you supported during their active time.

How about moving the threads with dead links to the request section? Or alternatively adding a tag signifying it as dead (like "needs re-up" or sth). 
 
Now, I realize there are 386 pages in the subforum and that's only vk, but I'm willing to offer my time to wade through that if anyone thinks it'd be useful at all. 
After one initial look through, I think it could be done only to the threads where someone is requesting a re-up.
