seys reacted to Kabukichoatmidnight in sukekiyo
Mate I know how recording an album works. 😛 But even though what you're saying in theory is correct, I actually disagree and don't believe a "perfect" take exists, let alone a perfect song or album. But if you think about it, that's kind of the point, when you're in a studio, you're only looking to get that one take of that one riff which is "good enough" for the recording and the songs haven't really been rehearsed as a band (at least not to any great length, again this isn't true for all band obviously) but it's after playing that song so many times in a rehearsal/live environment that you really refine your performance of that song and could go into the studio and pull off the entire song from start to finish almost flawlessly with little effort and you only need to go and tidy up the messy parts perhaps. The studio environment doesn't make you always feel at your most relaxed in order to be able to play your best I can guarantee that. 😛

Also, they only have to apply makeup to one eye! Makes getting ready for a show or photoshoot so much easier.

In the west, there's this sort of image that you have to be gay and part of some transsexual / dragqueen culture to do VK. It's just lame and predictable. I hate dragqueens. They're ugly and creepy.

the funny thing is that those aren't by far their most listened songs on spotify, they're just at the top for no reason at all lol

Even if I don't notice it I'd rather have it in the best quality possible.

I've been very uninspired for a number of years now, and I really struggle to feel any emotion anymore. Loud music and a whole bloody lot of caffeine are about the only thing that allow me to work, albeit very sterile and not on stuff I enjoy.
Getting back into some sort of community...and getting back to VK instead of listening to the same old music I always do, I hope this can propel me in a more positive direction.
Already I've finally been able to pick up a brush again (or I guess in this case, a paint bottle lid lol) thanks to listening to Sukekiyo so I will start my thread with it, though it is unfinished I am just happy to have done something.
Another canvas I've had sitting under a sheet for almost a year. I hope to actually complete
Something from last August. Gold red black and mossy greens are my main love.
I usually do stuff digitally because it's way more efficient and my wrist nerve is fucked up...but it's way harder to get exposure digitally so I've had to move to paint.
ink thing from a couple years back
I guess I'll just post one thing per day from now on to not be too spammy. Maybe it will revitalize me further and then I can post new things.

seys reacted to Seelentau in DIR EN GREY new single 落ちた事のある空 release summer 2020
Na, you aren't. I'm not using Spotify and stuff either. I'm just DLing and buying the CDs etc. when they're available, some way or another.
And I'm positive that they'll release a physical version at a later point. I don't expect the digital version to have more than three tracks, either.
I can imagine that they'll make a huge fuss over the physical release, advertising it with a bonus DVD and stuff. So basically their regular single release.

They played it live already (it's the first song) but I have the feeling this is just a demo version
