@Gesu if you want an extra monitor for drawing/reference photos, i'd recommend just buying a tablet monitor~ ofc they're probably more expensive but it seems more practical to me as an artist. 

i don't have much use for multiple monitors unless i'm drawing or doing 3d modeling stuff. although it's nice sometimes for browsing while watching something on the other screen.

I use a 43" inch tv for my desktop PC and a 17.3" usb monitor mounted above my older 17.3" laptop on my left side. Synergy is useful for working on the three displays at once. 

At max productivity, I'll have bash open on a vm at the top left, work on the main, and client on the bottom left. So there's a huge benefit for programmers and multiple displays.... but, I don't get the whole craze w/ multiple vert. monitors. I tried the meme and it drove me nuts. I know in finance they use like 6+ which would drive me insane.
