tbh idc if people wanna watch dubs or subs.  we’re all watching the same thing, right?  who cares what language it’s in??

This is why I hate/can't understand severe weebism.
I agree the dubs on some shows are great, and some are better in original Japanese for the expression in their voices making that much of a difference, but sometimes dubbed is necessary for those who can't follow subtitles/reading is hard for them.
 
It's too cringe for me to hear weebs say "dubs are horrible, subs are better", when you can't even see the otherside, and sometimes, I wonder if it's even them talking like an idiot.
 
My bad, all these topics have made me think deep today.

I definitely prefer subs, but there's some good dubs out there. Ghost in the Shell SAC's dub  is one that I actually prefer to the original.
 
I just think westerners have a different outlook on animation in general than the Japanese do. Like in western culture, the animation world seems dominated by stuff either geared towards children/family or adult/comedy, with very little inbetween. Whereas anime explores a lot of territory that would not safely fit in either extreme.
 
There's also this tendency in the west to view animation as simply "cartoons", and so ppl generally have different expectations for western animation. And that being the case, I think it's easy for a lot of these companies to skimp on finding good, suitable voice actors because they're usually not approaching these series with the same perspective, or the same level of integrity as the original creators.

Nope, it's a parody VN where you date birbs. It starts off silly, but if you play the full game, it actually develops a pretty deep/serious story. Nageki is best birb and I have a daki of him, lmao. Also, the creator of the game (Hato Moa) is everything I aspire to be.
