Haha this thread is gold. I'm with the guy/girl who said they're happy they stay away from the fandom and just happy enjoying the music and not getting involved in all the weird drama. Only thing I really would say is a lot of V Kei fans in general I've seen at live shows in Japan and overseas seem pretty weird and immature (everyone here seems pretty safe though, so not firing any shots at anyone) like they just turn 10/15 younger and start acting like over-excited hyper babies and it's really pathetic to see. Always nice to see people having a good time, but they're so OTT it's properly cringey. For example, at one Dir show I was standing behind a girl who appeared to be on her own, she was quite short and I'm quite tall so just happened to notice what she was writing on her phone as she was texting a friend. Conversation starts off fairly normal "just got to the gig, am at the front woop, woop" that kind of thing, "I bought a load of merch woop woop" also pretty normal, (here i'll add she's clearly not an experienced gig go-er as she brings her massive ass backpack and puts it on the floor in front of her at the front of a show.... (got to be kidding right? Nope, haha) and anyway, things start getting weird when I then notice a message as obviously I wasn't watching everything she was writing as got talking to some people around, "How do I confess my love to Kaoru from the second row of the audience?" and then kept bad mouthing his wife saying she's a "gremlin" and that Kaoru should be with her instead, keeping in mind she was also very young, no older than 18 I'm sure..... But even still, a lot of V Kei fans seem this obsessed and it's so cringe it almost hurts. haha. I've been involved in music for around 20 years and mixed with all kinds of audiences and played in loads of bands of varying styles etc and ONLY seen this ridiculous behaviour at V Kei shows. Obviously the odd weirdo will appear anywhere so not saying all other genres you don't get weirdos but yeah, V Kei has a pretty creepy fanbase. lol.

Yeah,  exactly. I am realistic, I know things that you ignore may come back for you and being alone is sickening and not the best idea.  Still, I feel it's better than whatever the other options are. 

Am in the same kind of boat there, not necessarily had failed relationships but have had a few "things" that have all gone a bit chaotic in recent years since I came out of my 7 1/2 year relationship. But also a key factor for me is that I have real trust issues which only seems to be getting stronger as time goes on. But yeah the more you invest in people emotionally the more you're setting yourself up to be hurt later so avoiding any such situation does seem better for yourself.

I guess the bottom line seems to be that you're mum still love your brother as her son, which is natural being a mother and all. I watched a documentary once where a guy was locked away for sexually abusing his mother (in a pretty gross manner as well), yet, she forgave him, still loved him and still visited him regularly in "prison". So guess that maternal bond just often comes before anything else. From what you've said I can take a guess at what his crimes are and can totally understand why you and your siblings wouldn't want to have anything to do with him. Regardless of what it is, if someone is abusing other people (or animals even!) in any sense, sexually, using violence, mentally or all three and more then whether you're related or not I don't see why there is an obligation to accept them. I guess it kind of depends how often you see him, is it easy to disassociate? Or because of your mum being blind to his negative actions, you still have to see him a fair bit? If the second one that's very awkward and guess you can just try to keep out the way, even just chilling in your room whenever he's around or anything. But yeah there's no reason anyone in your family should accept him because your mum does and at the same time I don't think there is any way to change your mums opinion of him either. Think about how hard it is to change yourself, you think you can change someone else? It's nearly impossible so not even worth trying, you can express your views of him sure, but expecting your mum to change and think the same way you do, just isn't going to happen I don't think.

That's a tricky one, depends how long "long distance" is. In your case it sounds like you're not in reasonable travelling distance. If you're only a few hours away then yeah you can just keep as much contact as needed and meet up whenever it's convenient, spend a few days together or whatever... But if realistically you can't meet up, at least often then I guess I'd just have to say that you got to follow your heart and soul and go with whatever feels most right to you. This doesn't only apply to long distance, I mean, if you live with someone and then get strong feelings for someone else and want to be with them then I guess as much of a dick you may be to your current partner, maybe you should move on to that person if you're genuinely feeling happier around that person. Relationships are trial and error and in my opinion if you get feelings for someone else when you're with someone then the person you're currently with isn't fully satisfying your needs in some way. It may not be because there is anything wrong with that person, but sometimes our feelings just change and ultimately you should end up with someone who ticks all the boxes, gives you what you need and should be completely satisfied with to the point you don't get feelings (at least to the point where it confuses you) for anyone else. Of course, you may still click with people or think they're good looking but if you truly love your partner would you want to leave them? Or risk hurting them by cheating on them or anything like that? The answer should be no, but I tend to go with the belief that you have to do what's best for you, and doing that you will hurt people along the way so only you can decide what's right for you really.

Do agree it's getting a bit repetitive as well. That said, I still liked it, just not as much as I may have done if it was the first Jiluka song I ever heard. Also, thought it was pretty amusing how in the video Sena seems to be trying to make up for the lack of androgynous looks of the other three guys by himself. I'm surprised he didn't get the fake boobs out again. haha.

At their sold-out Oneman on the 27th, they announced that they will release their first full album in 2020. Not sure when that'll be, but that's great news!

I've seen this on their website. That "1997-1999" thing is really interesting, because it totally looks like they're really stuck in the past (?). Also, I'm curious to see how they'll live "after" 1999.

Well a Japanese girl I follow on insta who is a Dir mega fan posted a pic with merch purchases from a show and bought every single one. So guess for some they really are must have items... haha.

Same, been waiting on these guys to put out a release since they first released their epic music video. haha. But yeah, online releases are not really of any interest to me, easier for them I guess but yeah, not appealing.
