My thoughts exactly. I can understand if Hiroto left Deviloof to get married and have a life, but he should have said so. Instead he pseudo-joined this "band" and other than first few promotional weeks, he's been absent. I'll keep buying their singles off of iTunes, but other than that, what else is there to this "band"?

Wtf are they doing? I liked Gerbera and Another Universe sounds good but its hard for me to recognize them as a real band. Right now it just seems like a studio only duo project with Hiroto seemingly being uninvolved at this point. But oh well, if they keep putting out good music then all my confusion is set aside. Just wish I knew what they are trying to go for

They spend more time recording covers and snubbing Hiroto than they do promoting and writing their own music.

All their songs sound so GOOD!
Also i am very impressed how well they manage their release campaign despite the rough times.
Many bands have already failed this without the shit that's currently going on...
 
But i just was wondering if (like quite a few bands before who were able to complete such release campaigns) once they released their 12th single if they'll also announce like: here's our first full album with 1 or 2 more extra songs...
But even if, i party them so much i wouldn't care and just buy anyways... XD
 
Lastly quite curious once all CDs are released how the "full" artwork of all CDs together will look like? At least i assume their will be some big whole picture.

By the way, based on the Twitter feedback so far from the bandmen involved there's a good chance some of the tracks will be quite exclusive (for example, if I understood it correctly the D'elsquel track might be an old unreleased song and the Kneuklid Romance one should be an old demo version of a later released track).

When you have such an amazing drummer like that, the minimum is to make him record his drums parts on a good e-drums. Even if they go to a recording studio, i'm sure in 4 hours rent he would finish an album.
 
But this kind of drums sound  they did became the new standard. It's boring because all the metalhead seems crazy for this overcompressed and inhuman kind of drums sound

As for corporate contracts with DHL etc, unfortunately as a small start up company we can't really think about that yet. We're hoping to expand our roster of bands with time and if the demand is there we would love to be able to open up those shipping options at affordable rates. A lot is going to depend on how the response is for the Dimlim merch overseas as bands (or rather, labels) here are very resistant to thinking there is enough demand to warrant opening up overseas sales. We want to prove them wrong.
 
As for the time frame, this is not only up to us but also up to the band so we can't make promises yet. We personally are hoping for an early July time frame. Hoping is the key word but we are doing our best, 2020 hasn't really been the year most of us were hoping for.

I feel bad and don't want to get your hopes up, this announcement is not about shipping just yet. Japan Post is completely shut down for overseas shipping at the moment. DHL is in my experience pretty unreliable and costly for the customer; we really want to offer you the best shipping options and so many packages from other carriers such as CD Japan are being returned due to the virus. I ran some quotes through DHL and the shipping of say a couple of hoodies wanted to charge $300 for shipping.
 
As soon as we can ship safely we will do so, but this announcement is something to pass the time until then. Hope you will still enjoy it, it'll be posted on Dimlim as well as our Twitter at 20:00 JST. We're working with them on connecting with overseas fans in different ways and there are a few more ideas bouncing around as the guys really want to stay connected during this time.
 
On the plus side, they've just announced a 2-days live in Tokyo on January 9th and 10th of 2021. Thanks for the support.

It's going to be an entire webstore identical (with some exclusive overseas only items) to the webstore that just opened tonight: https://www.dimer-tokyo.com so it will not be a proxy/third party site but rather you will be buying directly from the guys. My company will be handling the order processing, shipping, promotion and advising on what items to sell. Right now shipping is blocked from Japan to most countries so we're awaiting for that to lift and we will open a dedicated webstore, in English.

Hello! First post here. I run a company in Tokyo named Japan Music Revolution and we've just teamed up with DIMLIM to make their CDs and goods available overseas. Because of COVID-19 we are unfortunately going to be delayed in opening the webstore as we can't ship from Japan right now, however I've have taken this time to look over this thread and take into consideration fans' feelings and wishes.
 
We have some exciting surprises to announce in the near future about what's going to be up for sale and we hope you'll like the easier, cheaper (no tenso fees!) access to the merch vs auction sites and so forth. We're planning on implementing Paypal, offer several shipping methods  and overall making things as smooth and easy as possible. リブラヴェル (Libravel) just recently started a crowdfunding project with a goal of total 200,000JPY.
The main reason why they started it seems to be the cancellation of their Bassists birthday live which should've take place on 22.04.2020.
They basically need to cover cancellation fees for the following things: stuff (hair+makeup), PA, lighting, cameraman (should this became a live DVD?!?), the live house in general,...
 
Currently they reached a total amount of 54,000JPY - however there are still 41 days left to reach the goal of 200,000JPY.
 
They also offer various benefits if you can help them out starting from 1,000JPY up to 20,000JPY.

I've been wanting to write some of this stuff out forever because I'm a huge digital packrat and I like to archive these types of things... I don't think any of this has been written out anywhere before, but I'm not sure how much people actually care about the fan culture part of VK here, especially the Japanese fan culture, and especially the online Japanese fan culture. But, just in case any of you are also level 50 Turbo Nerds I thought I should post it here. I hope this is a sensible place to put it??
