Ultra Silvam got a reaction from MoumokuShoujo in ギャロ (THE GALLO) - VELTRO [Kanji & Romaji]
Here's my attempt at transcribing this song.  I only used the lyrics from the music video, and I think all of the kanji is correct, but I am unsure about some of the romaji since it sounds like some of the pronunciations used in the song aren't true to the kanji used.  So please comment with any suggestions or questions if you have any!
I've also tried to separate the lyrics into sections to make it easier to follow along with the song, but this is only based on how the song sounds to me, so I'm sure they're not separated this way in the lyric booklet.

That's awesome! Where are you going to be visiting while in Japan? If you're going to be in Tokyo, then there are a bunch of cool visual kei CD shops and clothing stores to check out. Osaka also has a nice handful of shops and places to go as well, although Osaka is a little more spread out in terms of the location of every shop.

Here is a useful website for starters. It lists some shops, stores, PV filming locations, and other things to see related to VK/Jrock: http://www.vkeiguide.com/ (It looks up-to-date, but it's missing quite a lot of CD shops.)

Harajuku (in Shibuya, Tokyo) has tons of VK clothing stores. Unfortunately, I can't remember where all of them are, but it all sits on one street (Takeshita Doori), so it won't be too hard to find. Many of the VK clothing shops in Harajuku are located in a huge department store, La Foret. (Here is the link: https://www.laforet.ne.jp/en/).

PureSound: https://puresound.co.jp/extra/rotation/info/shop.html (It shows the map of where they are located in both Shinsaibashi, Osaka and in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The Tokyo store location map is at the bottom. They sell new and used CDs as well as second hand VK clothings, etc.)
Closet Child: Shinjuku Location Map (Tokyo), Ikebukuro Location Map (Tokyo), Yokohama Location Map (Tokyo - If memory serves correctly, I think it's not directly in the heart of Tokyo, but it's easy to access by train.), Namba Location Map (Osaka) (They sell lots of second-hand VK CDs, VK clothings, Lolita outfits, and more.)
Brand-X: Brand-X (Ikebukuro, Tokyo - They've listed their address in English on this page.)
Zeal Link: Zeal Link (In Tokyo, they have stores in Shibuya and Shinjuku. In Osaka, it's in Amerikamura [Shinsaibashi]. They also have a shop in Sakae, Nagoya if you're going there.)
Like an Edison: http://ktai.la-edison.com/pc/index.html (For Tokyo, they're located in Shinjuku and Harajuku. For Osaka, they are in Shinsaibashi. They also have a store in Nagoya, although I've never been to that one.)
Jishuban Club: Jishuban Club on Google Map

These are just a few that I can think of right now. There are also a bunch of HMV and Tower Records. They also sell Jrock/VK CDs, but not as many as some of the smaller stores I mentioned above. I apologize for not being able to point out any Nagoya kei related stuff  I think there are some people on the forum who currently live in Tokyo, so they might know more about it ^^ I'm more familiar with Osaka if you're going there and have any questions about it  (I apologize in advance if my post sounds like one huge ramble ^^;)

D and lynch.  It's the same issue with both bands; almost all their songs sound the same to me.  I don't think they're awful but I can't listen to more than one songs by these bands without getting super bored

I tend to enjoy their B-sides more than their A-sides nowadays, but I used to like their A-sides more.  I think it changed for me in 2014 after Kyouka Suigetsu.  I have to talk about Ruru though because the song on that single, 死人花, is my favorite Kiryu song.  Every time I hear it I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't chosen to be the single.  It might be a polarizing song because it's full of loud synths that overpower the guitars and bass, but I don't mind it in this case because I think overall the song sounds good and the feeling it has is something a bit different from other Kiryu songs

Ultra Silvam reacted to Bear in Netflix set to release a live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop
But that's the great thing about Netflix, they're like a modern day Roger Corman and they work way, way different from most other studios. They're giving the creators and INSANE amount of creative freedom. If they like your idea, they'll give you a certain amount of money and just keep their hands off and let you do whatever the fuck you want. If you want your TV-series to be only 6 episodes, they'll let you keep it at 6 episodes without pushing for more no matter how popular the series is and how high the demand is for more. If you want your movie/TV series to be bizarre and weird as fuck, they'll let you do that even though they know it most likely won't get them the money back. If you want to make something so slow 98% of the world's population would die of boredom within the first 45 minutes of the movie, you're free to do so. There is no restrictions whatsoever.

When you produce for a major company of a certain size your main goal will always be to not please the fans, but please the regular movie goes. Because it is them who will earn them the money back, not the actual fanbase. So when a big company produce a movie like Ghost in the Shell (or movies based on books like The Hobbit), the movies simply won't be aimed towards the fans of the original anime.

With Netflix you will, if you want, be able to work towards pleasing the actual fans of the source material because they have the freedom to do so. They don't have to double or triple the income like the studios does.

So making movies and TV-series for Netflix is like still being an indie filmmaker, just with a much, much bigger budget.

And this is the reason why I don't mind Netflix doing it.

tldr; Netflix will give you a massive amount of freedom to do as you please, something other, major studios will not do. It's such a huge difference between something like Netflix and HBO and regular studios.

So if they can get a writer/director who is actually a fan of the series, I have no doubt they'll be able to bring the anime justice by making something great. So in my eyes, that's where it lies. Can they do so? I don't know, but I hope they will.

"Cautiously pessimistic" just about sums my feelings. We never know though, it could be good.

inb4 they release a trailer and the actors aren't to *insert group here* 's liking and they complain about *insert here*-washing. The internet gets fixated on it until it airs, and then everyone forgets that they were arguing in the first place. Most of those who've complained never end up watching it.  Then, contrary to popular belief, it doesn't ruin the original anime series, like initially predicted.

Ultra Silvam reacted to Zeus in Netflix set to release a live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop
Despite the optimism in posts above me about this announcement, I'm less than excited. Netflix may not do as bad of a job as previous studios have when adapting anime to live action films, but the debacle with Ciri in The Witcher adaptation proves to me that they're capable of losing the plot.

It's like the media doesn't learn it's lesson. I don't even care that Netflix is behind the helm. Time and time again, whenever they adapt an anime to a live action film the movie loses a lot of what made the anime special. I'm not just referencing Hollywood because there are plenty of Japanese live-action adaptations that suck too. It's the power inherent in the medium along with the ability to more easily suspend my belief.

I've already lost my horse in this race because Hollywood adapted and defiled Ghost in the Shell. Watanabe better splurge on a katana engraved with the words "no cuts" to make sure Netflix gets the message this time, although I'm under no delusions that someone at Netflix won't find some way to defile the story and get fans pants in a twist.

I'd prefer the series to be left alone. I don't hate live-action remakes and I can understand why some people like them, but I just prefer the anime. I hope they do this one justice.

I was a big fan of SCREW so I was really excited when this band was announced.  I liked 螺旋階段 when it was released, but I have to admit that when I heard the previews for the rest of the songs on BASALT I became doubtful about how good this mini album would be.  I've been listening to it for the past week though and I actually really like all of the songs, individually and as an album.  When I heard the preview for DON'T BE SILLY I thought I was going to end up hating it, but it's actually the song that I've listened to the most!  I think ボクトアソボウヨ... is my favorite though.  I really have no complaints lol.  I'm happy to see Byo and Jin back in a band together.
