    That's awesome! Where are you going to be visiting while in Japan? If you're going to be in Tokyo, then there are a bunch of cool visual kei CD shops and clothing stores to check out. Osaka also has a nice handful of shops and places to go as well, although Osaka is a little more spread out in terms of the location of every shop.

    Here is a useful website for starters. It lists some shops, stores, PV filming locations, and other things to see related to VK/Jrock: http://www.vkeiguide.com/ (It looks up-to-date, but it's missing quite a lot of CD shops.)

    Harajuku (in Shibuya, Tokyo) has tons of VK clothing stores. Unfortunately, I can't remember where all of them are, but it all sits on one street (Takeshita Doori), so it won't be too hard to find. Many of the VK clothing shops in Harajuku are located in a huge department store, La Foret. (Here is the link: https://www.laforet.ne.jp/en/).

    PureSound: https://puresound.co.jp/extra/rotation/info/shop.html (It shows the map of where they are located in both Shinsaibashi, Osaka and in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The Tokyo store location map is at the bottom. They sell new and used CDs as well as second hand VK clothings, etc.)
    Closet Child: Shinjuku Location Map (Tokyo), Ikebukuro Location Map (Tokyo), Yokohama Location Map (Tokyo - If memory serves correctly, I think it's not directly in the heart of Tokyo, but it's easy to access by train.), Namba Location Map (Osaka) (They sell lots of second-hand VK CDs, VK clothings, Lolita outfits, and more.)
    Brand-X: Brand-X (Ikebukuro, Tokyo - They've listed their address in English on this page.)
    Zeal Link: Zeal Link (In Tokyo, they have stores in Shibuya and Shinjuku. In Osaka, it's in Amerikamura [Shinsaibashi]. They also have a shop in Sakae, Nagoya if you're going there.)
    Like an Edison: http://ktai.la-edison.com/pc/index.html (For Tokyo, they're located in Shinjuku and Harajuku. For Osaka, they are in Shinsaibashi. They also have a store in Nagoya, although I've never been to that one.)
    Jishuban Club: Jishuban Club on Google Map

    These are just a few that I can think of right now. There are also a bunch of HMV and Tower Records. They also sell Jrock/VK CDs, but not as many as some of the smaller stores I mentioned above. I apologize for not being able to point out any Nagoya kei related stuff  I think there are some people on the forum who currently live in Tokyo, so they might know more about it ^^ I'm more familiar with Osaka if you're going there and have any questions about it  (I apologize in advance if my post sounds like one huge ramble ^^;)

    Finally finished up with ys 8, really great game overall, would recommend to anyone looking for a really well put together and fun arpg. The story got predictable and a little slow near the end, but it didn't effect how my overall opinion.
    Started Valkyiria Chronicles 4, so far so good. I like that it's a clear call back to the first and gameplay remains as addicting as ever, but man can you feel the lack of budget sometimes. Animations are stiff and limited, cutscenes last a couple of seconds and character models look like tweaked enhancements from the first game. Story and characters are pretty bland so far as well. I'll probably stick with it until the end because combat remains enjoyable, Dragon Quest 11 is staring me down as I contemplate it tho

    @platy When Sora fights him again in Twilight Town? Ugh, yeah, I disliked that fight a lot. In general, I find Vexen annoying as a boss fight especially with that shield he carries. Regularly attacking him just doesn't work, so you constantly have to break his cards somehow. That really irked me when I first fought him. In the end, I cheesed his boss fights by stacking my entire deck with that cheap sleight, Lethal Frame. Massive cheating, but I had enough of fighting him after so many deaths. But yes, the Vexen fights were stupid - *completely flips all tables and chairs* Larxene was tough, but she felt less bothersome than Vexen's fights. She didn't feel as cheap.

    Kizu drops another single, followed by an album DIMLIM continues to be underappreciated and faces some setbacks, doesn't disband but 2020 looking dire Ayabie follows up their comeback concerts with a full revival that doesn't go anywhere, releases a couple of disappointing singles a la Lolita 23q and quietly disbands again Nostalgia for oshare continues, new bands start emulating worst parts of that trend and a couple of nobodies from 10+ years ago try and milk the trend by reviving unwanted projects Halfway decent band with promise gets brought over for their first oversea show, at an american anime con, they announce disbandment on the way to america. BABOO vocalist comes back as a solo artist, concept is full on adult-diaper fantasy Jin's new band is met with even more passive reactions than tbs, after 10+ years of frustration he stops singing and starts working behind the scenes Kisaki's reputation becomes so tarnished no one works with him, so he doubles down on the fraud leading to actual consequences

    Ack, this thread existed? I think I'll be in this club for a while *pulls up a chair and sits down*

    Still single and probably will be for a while. Currently, I'm focusing on school and would like to wait until I feel my life is steadier (if a relationship happens). A friend of mine asked me if I ever planned to date and/or get married, and it got me thinking that whatever happens will happen. If it happens, then that's great. If it doesn't, then that's fine with me (personally). I've never had any serious relationships. I almost had one a long time ago, but it fell through due to complicated reasons as usual ^^;

    I think the mentality of "you have to be dating someone" is a bit odd. Each individual has the choice of whether they want to be in a relationship with someone or not. No one else has that right to tell you (in general, no one in particular) that "you should be dating someone" since you are the one who will be experiencing the relationship, not anyone else.

    Also, I don't want to be in a relationship with someone to validate my existence. I feel quite content with who I am and I don't want someone else telling me about myself. I'm up for changing into being a better person or compromising with other people to make things work, but I think you should stick true to who you are and not morph into someone else completely different that makes you feel unhappy/uncomfortable. I've seen people be in a relationship and completely change themselves because of their partner. It makes me sad to see this because I believe people in a relationship are equals, not subservient to their partner. (I'm speaking in general terms and not about any specific circumstances/situations.)

    (Yikes, this post was longer than I intended 😅 I apologize if I didn't make any sense. It's almost three am over here, and I'm somewhat tired, but I wanted to respond, lol.)
