Wasn't throwing shade at the guy, just a shame that this kind of talent didn't show up on the album. Btw, a drummer could still program his own stuff, but that's beside the point.
  2. 123Sandman321

Shame that he didn't bring such an amount of energy to the album.
  3. 123Sandman321

I'd love to hear it with an improved Sho, Hiroshi on drums and better production. It'd be perfect.
  4. 123Sandman321

At least twice a day, always in the morning and then in the evening, plus whenever necessary during the day.
  5. 123Sandman321

Yeah, only involved in the production of Oni (oficially, they joined the band last year). Seiya and Hiroto left shortly after Kaika was released.

Based on how their current goods look and the brand they seem to be building, I doubt they'd go for the basic merch stuff. And the original designs are more interesting.
  7. Nemophila is a good album, but I expected much more. There are no real standout tracks whatsoever and it just kinda blends together in the back half.

The production on the other hand is the best they ever had. It's a shame that Mio sounds worse on the re-recorded single tracks, when the rest sounds better.

Now, since we went through regular shitty synths, orchestral and then oriental restaurant OST ones. Perhaps some indian or balalaika samples are on the horizon?

  8. The last two tracks appear to be particularly tasty!
  9. Shit, I'm impressed. The production is fucking crisp for Starwave standards. And it seems like the cleans have improved ever so slightly, too?
  10. 123Sandman321

I'm not so sure about that.
  11. 123Sandman321

as some would tell you, he was inspired by them, anyway
  12. 123Sandman321

Not that it has much competition, but this is shaping up to be the AOTY, so far... Also, both Ideal and Innocence sound really chunky, this time around
  13. Really on the fence about the rumored RE4 Remake. On one hand it'd be amazing to relive it with a fresh coat of paint, but on the other hand, does it really need it? After RE3 Remake, I really don't want them to massacre my boy.

Already? Wow, that didn't take long for the rumors to come out. Not sure how to feel about it if it's true.

@monkeybanana4 According to the rumors, it's set for 2022 and being made by M-Two Studios (led by a former Platinum Games CEO). They did some work for the RE3 Remake, too. And might have been working on the RE4 Remake in a small capacity since their inception in '18.

Plus there have been some reports of RE8 having elements of the inventory system from RE4, so that might have been misinterpreted a bit. Plus it being called Village...shit's weird, right about now.

All of it is just a couple of days old, so take it with a fucking huge grain of salt.

Interesting! RE4 is my favorite game of all time. I'd be on board with a remake if all it meant was updated graphics. Everything else is perfect to me.

But honestly, I would rather see a Code Veronica remake first.

  14. Been watching BMTH's studio session videos...I'm very carefully optimistic

  15. 123Sandman321

Took a couple listens to digest, especially the slightly janky verses, but this...is good. That chorus is powerful.
  16. 123Sandman321

Thing is, I can't remember any of the remaining 10 tracks. This one on the other hand, seems that it will be better.
  17. Trash, not dissimilar to Dendrobium, which was their highest charting release so far...
  18. 123Sandman321

As far as I know, Bakemono aren't a label, they just make MVs

Fixer separated themselves from a band with the same name and now they have but a single follower (me) :D fix it, y'all, it's sad

The perception of the new album was definitely hurt by hearing Kidoairaku, it might've been more palatable were there nothing inbetween Rijin and MISC., well, now I'm here solely for Sho's Q&A, then they might as well call it quits. Even tho the new album is quite enjoyable, Sho's and Hiroshi's talents are being wasted here. Also, a couple months ago I was told off for shitting on Retsu for slowly leading the band to shit (commercially) and look where we are...
  21. 123Sandman321

Proving yet again, they are the best BPR band.
  22. 'Tis good, but the composition sounds awfully familiar, tho I can't quite put my finger on it.
  23. 123Sandman321

Yeah, but Nolly still records all the bass parts, properly
  24. Still one of the best breakdowns in the game. Not the heaviest or the most technical, but it hits just so right.

I love that song, I love that breakdown more and I miss this band 😧

couldn't agree more. Probably my favorite on the scene aswell, at least a top 3.

  25. 123Sandman321

Were it not for Sho, I'd have believed that this was a Sokoninaru song. But it's really good, even tho it might not really stand out in the sea of other j-indie guitar wankery. I'm carefully optimistic, now.
