Haven't felt much attraction to other releases, and haven't been paying attention to all that much.

Some aren't similar, but recommendations are: Blue Lemonade, Talk to Me, Peek-a-Boo, Hit That Drum, Power Up, Russian Roulette.

We really don't. So many indies bands today just sound so... generic in regular band terms - Not VK terms (If they're not doing anything original anyway)

As much as I like the current scene, I do think there's been an over-reliance on software synthesizers. When I use the term "over-reliance", I refer to softsynths being used as a crutch instead of an asset. I wish that budget bands embraced more traditional methods than trying to half-ass their way through default plugins (...but that requires talent :V).
 
Though, I will say that any sound, including this one, is subject to being called "generic" when it's used a lot. Idk, I guess it's just a product of the times.

It's dire in terms of finding new bands that are promising, but I've found a couple of them and last year and this year have been really good for vk imo.

But back in the days also only the better vkei bands infos got leaked.
the shitty simply never got any overseas promotion.
 
nowdays we discover all bands daily without delay. 

I'm surprised they haven't added more groups ~officially~. Even all of their secret sub-label bands are gone.
