NightFall reacted to VkBrutaliaN in DIMLIM Concept Full Album CHE DO A RA
HOLY SHIT this will be dope as fuck!! 8D
only i wish i could see the album artworks a bit better on the flyer but i am sure they'll formly announce it on their twitter within the next 2 hours.
also quite interesting (if i'm not mistaken) that their ONEMAN on 02.06.2018 will be male and their ONEMAN on 03.06.2018 female only...
although when i attended their first ONEMAN it was quite half, half with the attendance.

This sounds amazing. I loved And but have never really listened to these guys before; I gave their debut album a spin and didn't like it, but this is on a whole 'nother level. Will definitely be picking this up.

i don't understand how could the "fans" complain about DOGMA,compared to those three average albums after DIM
DOGMA was absolutely outstanding . if you can't enjoy DOGMA,honestly i don't comprehend what you expect from the gazette

NightFall reacted to Pretsy in the GazettE
They should just rethink and put those B-side songs as A-sides instead. Ones might disagree but even DOGMA b-sides GODDESS and VACANT had more of this focused songwriting that @ghostmentioned.
Some degree of differentiation is required here or else we may not able to tell GazettE from other schlocky alt. metal bands. This is highly important even if we may recognize Ruki right away no matter what they are playing.

NightFall reacted to Nagisa in the GazettE
I'll be happy if there's one or two songs on the level of DOGMA, UNDYING or OMINOUS.

NightFall reacted to fitear1590 in グリモア-GRIMOIRE-
Yes, I'm definitely liking the whole Uranometria single a lot--it has some solid B-sides.
Yes! I love the originals of "げんそうシンドローム" and "ぼくとタルパ" but after hearing the album re-recordings, it's clear that the new versions are superior. (My only quibble with "ぼくとタルパ" is during the breakdown in the rerecording--somehow, it sounds a little more epic in the original single with the background arrangement). I wish we could get a rerecording of "ひとりトピア" as well.
@ricchubunny, get in here and share your GRIMOIRE love, d00d!

Silver hair with fair skin pretty much drives me crazy xD

NightFall reacted to Komorebi in The Official Brutal Kei Thread
I actually dislike the excessive screaming and prefer to go for more melodic metal, vocally speaking.
Why are Jiluka becoming my favorite band and current obsession? I would love to know .___.

I LOVE this sound... sometimes lol
I love DIMLIM, and I'm interested in Deviloof and Jiluka rn, not quite enough to purchase the CDs yet tho
Would you include DADAROMA with their tracks like 雨のワルツ and 溺れる魚?

NightFall reacted to Mamo in The Official Brutal Kei Thread
Some of you may be familiar with more comedic tag "brutal kei" to describe "heavy" visual kei bands who often use vocals and instrumentals seemingly inspired by "heavy metal" genres and sometimes "extreme metal" genres as well. The origins of the term "brutal kei" was coined by "matsuya89" aka @VkBrutaliaN in 2009 and later popularized by myself in 2010 as more of a "troll". I was inspired by a video which has since been removed on youtube; however, a forum discussion on this video and listing the bands used in the video can be found here: http://rockbandfinder.com/top-9-most-brutal-visual-keij-rock-bands/ . (I later found out the video was made and uploaded by @VkBrutaliaN). But the serious origins of this trend in visual kei began with various "Nu metal" tendencies as early as the mid-90s with bands such as: Aliene Ma'riage, ∀NTI FEMINISM, and 妃阿甦(THE PIASS).
Today it has become a less prevalent niche but a handful of bands of this type always seem to emerge only to disband very shortly thereafter. Kept alive by a cult following of an obsessive fandom. Many bands of the current wave of this so called "brutal kei" genre incorporate elements of electronica and mostly stick to a blend of metalcore, deathcore, nu metal, and typical vk melodic rock. The vocalist will almost always use harsh vocal techniques such as: screams, pig squeals, and death growls. Some current examples include: Nocturnal Bloodlust, JILUKA, FIXER, DIMLIM, DEXCORE, and many more.
Oh and @Takadanobabaalienmy apologies for not mentioning the legendary most br00tal vk band "Deviloof"!!!!!!
Are you a fan of this sound?
