Man, I was shocked during the AMA (don't know why) when Yoshiki revealed that Pata hadn't even finished tracking his guitars for the album yet.
 
Which confirmed mine and many others' theory that the album was not finished and not going to come out in March regardless of Pata taking ill. 
 
During the AMA I asked Yoshiki when we were going to see Violet UK get released, considering I was waiting on it back in middle school and I'm fuckin 30 now. Didn't answer, of course.

i dont take visual kei personally and im confused as to why other people do. i love to roast people's favs for their reactions, which probably isnt a good thing to do but in a scene thats full of gossip, bickering, drama, hair dye, constant disbandments etc what do u expect lol. the japanese fans dont care, but western fans will roar, cry and riot if someone dare talk about their beloved bandomen sama or honmei band in a bad way.
thats why roasting mejibray is hilarious, and i love/hate mejibray and at the end of the day they're a pretty cool band but the members are soooo much fun to make fun of. shoutouts to the fans who laugh along with the jokes instead of weeping as everyone will have their opinions, and no matter how u feel theres no need to ever get ur panties in a bunch over light hearted comments.
i cant tell anyone not to take it personal, music is so intensely personal. i just find roasts to be fucking hilarious most of the time, some people think they're needlesly negative but even users like herpes shit talking my fav bands makes me laugh. thats what visual fans dont understand, take a break from the computer, ur bands aren't meant to last nor do they care about anyone from the western fandom's imput unless they're making big bucks off u.

At the time the picture of Sui was taken he must've been pretty close to alcohol poising based on him not being aware of having puke in his mouth. Despite this Kisaki, instead of helping him choose to take use him while being unconscious, so he can shit talk about him on tanuki. Kisaki were probably pretty drunk as well, but I don't think that's an excuse (assuming the picture was taken by Kisaki and not sent to him).
In Japan they have the senpai/kouhai-relationship as well, which makes it difficult for a kouhai to refuse invites (and in this case: drinks) from his senpai (aka Kisaki).  So it might as well be Kisaki's fault to begin with.

It has been around 7 years since the king of visual solo artists has released an album. Granted, that album was basically a singles collection, but I digress. This would be enough to excite almost anyone, especially a hardcore fan of the man who worked with some of the most legendary visual artists. 
 
Gackt is one to focus a lot on themes in his albums and over the course of his decade-plus long solo career he has created three albums with the moon as the theme and primary focus. Beginning with 'Crescent' and followed up with 'Moon', he brings us the final installment in this series, 'Last Moon.' A pretty stellar thematic series of albums and other work, including the film "Moon Child" with Hyde from L'Arc~en~Ciel and VAMPS!
 
The album is supposed to be set in ancient Japan and the music and related videos have presented that visual quite well. The lead single, having been released 9 years ago, was named 'Returner' and utilized some of the musical stylings from earlier songs such as 'Mind Forest' and definitely continued this theme perfectly. Other singles also brought out the traditional Japanese elements including hard-hitter "斬 ～Zan～", mid-tempo ballad "暁月夜 -Day Breakers-" (Akatsukizukuyo -Day Breakers-), and over-the-top dramatic masterpiece and album-closer  "雪月花 -The end of silence-" (Setsugekka -The end of silence-). Even some of the new songs fit in with the elements of composition including "花も散ゆ" (Hanamo Chiyu), "傀儡が如く" (Kugutsu ga Gotoku), and "キミだけのボクでいるから" (Kimi Dake no Boku de Iru Koto), thus making the album largely cohesive and consistent. 
 
The remaining songs, while either catchy and fun or dramatic and emotional, don't fit with the theme of ancient Japan. "P.S. I Love You" is romantic and displays incredible vocal prowess but is clearly based on the 2007 film of the same name. It's B-Side "Ride or Die" conjures up the images of modern motorcycles while randomly selected B-side "One More Kiss" deserves no place on this album. These songs both helped and hurt the album at the same time. For example, I'm not sure why a song like "舞哈Baby!!" (Wuha Baby) and "恋のFriday!!!" (Koi no Friday) were included in a concept album as they're clearly just pop-rock songs, but they did help the album from being too much of the same thing. 
 
Otherwise, the album is phenomenal and one of the best albums I've heard this year. It proves that Gackt still has vocal ability like you wouldn't believe. I just truly hope this isn't his last musical effort.

Abrupt key-changes in songs. I've noticed a trend in a variety of Japanese music to switch keys when transitioning into the choruses. I think key-changes can work out perfectly fine at times, but more often than not, I've find them to be a bit jarring - especially when it completely changes the mood of the song.

During the entire conversation Kisaki is writing very polite Japanese and the Tanuki guy is writing like he is just messing around with him.

Personally, Morrigan is one of the few "new" bands I'm actually looking forward to their new releases, I don't really care about how many others do it XD

like this is sorta of a impossible topic honestly, there are so many different genres of music that listing all the ones you like is a ridiculous task (at least for me) unless you're a genre nazi and you pay more attention to genres than the actual music.

A lot of vk bands are on radio, problem is Japan has like two radio stations for every citizen so you're bound to never finding the right channel. 
 
I'd say the problem is that the teenagers aren't socially awkward and angry anymore. Don't know what happened but the "I dress in black and hate the world, also im misunderstood and poetic"-kids, which formed the faceless masses of casual vk listeners, are all but gone. Only the hardcore are left and they always just formed a tiny piece of the fandom.
