mode of ___ is the best deg footage ever, there's no way they'll out-do the emotion, live sound, and visuals of the series. I wish they could re-do gauze and not look like they were in pain the whole time.

Idk egnirys has always been one of my least favorite songs of theirs. It just sounds kinda goofy and awkward. I don’t dislike it but they have way more memorable songs that are still experimental. I like the mode of macabre performance though.

God, this wait is already starting to kill me. We're getting so close and yet it feels so far away. I was pretty hyped about the GazettE's "NINTH"; but that was nothing by comparison.

Where did you find this? I’m guessing this is Ranunculus because it’s slow and ballad-ish. It sounds good from what little I can make out although it sounds more like a sukekiyo song tbh. I’m hoping we get some more aggressive stuff since I can listen to sukekiyo for this style.

The mix is good as a whole, there's just some questionable decisions in the single that I feel limits the overall impact of the song. Kyo's harsh vocals in the bridge -- a first for the band -- are completely muffled by the guitars. His cleans are clear, but then the growls are mixed as if they're backup vocals when they're not. Or maybe they intended them that way. Either way, bad mixing choice IMO.

I love how raw and crazy the screaming is on MOAB.

Low key hoping Devote My Life has a refrain with the song title in the chorus, and the song slowly builds into Kyo squealing and changing it to “fuck my life”. 

It's almost entirely guttural, lots and lots of screaming and growling. A lot resembles the "Bring them to light" performances back in the day.
I would say it's more The inferno than Midwife, because Midwife only become faster in its second half.

I read some Japanese fan reports of their most recent live show.
Here is the info I could gather on new songs.
 
- The 理由 remake has a shortened intro and a rougher guitar tone reminiscent of MoaB. There is some shouting at the end now.
 
- One of the new songs that they just started playing has harsh vocals (they said デスボ in Japanese which means “death voice.” I don’t know if this is for all/most of the song or not as the description was unclear) and a blastbeat.
 
- The song that was played on the Mode of DSS tour is most likely titled “Celebrate Empty Howls.”

Kyo is not the main composer for Dir nor for sukekiyo, so it looks strange when people try to compare these bands. He just sings in both of them, that's all.

Sounds like maybe you just don’t like heavy/aggressive music? I like both bands but your claims of sukekiyo being more sophisticated are a bit pretentious. It’s just different. Why would he want to be in two bands that sound exactly the same?

I want the 理由 remake to be beautiful and the Deeper Vileness remake to be disgustingly heavy.

Kyo looks like a cross between Wolverine and an elderly Skrillex lmao.

DSS is my favorite DEG album so that sounds amazing. Ranunculus sounds cool too.

The song they played at mode of DSS reminds me of "Bring them to light", tempo-wise. It's entirely guttural, too. There's a slower, more melodic part in the middle. ~3 minutes long.
The Tour18 song has Toshiya providing backing growls. Kyo mostly sings with his normal voice. Again, fast paced tempo with a slower section in the middle, Kyo growls here. Some crazy gibberish in the latter half. The chorus has this "climax" thingy to it, that Kyo does in some songs. ~3:30 long.
Ranunculus is a ballad. Very slow and melodic.
