So what you are saying is that once someone loses the image of 'perfection', they deserve to be treated like less than that? I suppose that is what is wrong with this world, it actually does not surprise me that Visual Kei followers (because I cannot call most of them fans) think they have the right to make attempts on someone's personal life. Of course they dress up to gain attention; that is what this whole scene is about. Dragqueens look the way they do because it is a business, circus artists look the way they do because it is a business. Does them removing their makeup or shedding their extreme attire so they can live their personal life after their job call out for an attack? No, it does not.
The Visual Kei scene is revolting in where it thinks it needs to make the lives of musicians a living hell. I do not understand what goes on in the minds of Japanese girls (and some Western ones who participate in this nonsense), or what drives them to believe that uncovering every single negative truth about someone who they do not personally know and have no business with, is okay.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I found more interest in Jupiter and Kamijo's solo works. But hey, more great music regardless. ^^

Its hard to keep track Trombe imo its not that we want to criticize it just sucks being told by you or an admin that the news had been posted before our only intention is to help and spread the news im sure they did their research and sadly couldn't find your post. I like wing works and i hadn't seen your post it must have gotten pushed down due to the fact theirs so much news . Plus people are more likely to check new threads than older ones

Someone linked me to this site a couple years ago; been meaning to stop lurking and join, but you know how it goes.
 
Been a visual kei fan since summer 2000. It's Malice Mizer's fault. They did this to me. 
 
Bands I lurve and continue to fangirl for despite being a grown man: Luna Sea (obv), Zi Kill, Die in Cries, Kagerou, Creature Creature, Kuroyume, Aliene Mariage, Baiser.... all that kinda stuff.
 
But I'm not a totally elitist old school VK snob; I still listen to fucking Baroque and Kisaki Project. Proudly.
 
Other stuff: I'm in and out of goth bands on a regular basis; I spent my late teens and early twenties working as a musician fulltime, and then went back to school when I got tired of babysitting adults/living in a van. I listen to a lot of hairmetal, 90s goth rock, and 80s RnB. I have a dog, but she doesn't really care for visual kei.
 
I've made every single girlfriend I've ever had watch MM's Bara No Konrei movie with me. Trial by fire. You marry me, you marry into this Visual Kei fandom life.

It's super sad that the 'fans' have such a massive influence on these bands. It's their personal life that shouldn't concern anyone. People cheat on their partners all the time, and while it's looked down upon, it shouldn't have to decide someone's career or future, and it definitely shouldn't be decided by people who have nothing to do with it. More than half of the world's population would be shunned, jobless and homeless if it would live by the ridiculous sentiments emerged in the Visual Kei fandom.
These rabid girls need to step down.

I guess you could say the girl became the band's . . . femme fatale.

I'm not sure what to write here but what the hell, hello!! Hello!!!
 
I decided to create this account after finding out about this forum a few weeks ago, I realized I was never in much contact with other visual kei fans despite being into it for about a decade! 
I'm not that old tho, I started listening early is all!
 
My favorite VK bands would be, well, Dir en Grey, not much of a surprise there, Kagrra (is it Kagrra or Kagrra,? I never figured it out) and Raphael, and recently I started getting into rice's early stuff (I jsut wish it was easier to find said early stuff) thanks to Yuki's amazing voice, and Morrigan.
I remember listening a lot to Phantasmagoria when I was younger too...
 
So I guess that's all for now, pleased to meet whoever reads this~

Anywaaay I've been into VK for eleven years i am old  and my childhood heroes are Dir en grey, X-Japan, hide, GazettE, Janne Da Arc, ABC - however I am into a lot of "new" bands too like MEJIBRAY, MORRIGAN, 少年記 and ペンタゴン ect. I am always up for an discussion about them and about Japan in general since I lived there for half a year before moving back to this cold and forsaken country AKA Sweden.

The more meji releases the more impossible it gets to actually choose favorite singels or songs meh. They are all great in their own way.
