Kamijo doesn't look like a washed up 80s rocker so I don't get why people are claiming Zin is trying to be him. He doesn't even look aristocratic this time. If he did, then you could say he's a budget Kamijo because right now I'm not seeing the similarities.

Good for them but I can't tell which is more terrible - this look or their previous look. Zin looks like some washed-up hair metal hag.

I've been a fan since 2006 and haven't heard an X Japan or hide song. I'm not interested so I never bothered listening, lol. I could name drop  song titles that I've seen everywhere but wouldn't actually know what they sound like.

Which is what bandmen are. Real people, idealized or not.  It doesn't matter if their vk persona is so over the top that it's almost cartoonish--I don't think that gives people the right to do this. Those "J-rock scenarios" written in 2nd person that are basically self-insert smut fanfics with your favorite bandman deserve a mention as well. Why not keep that to yourself?
