Dunno what the hell is going on here, but I'm almost convinced Mahiro retired on the down low and been replaced by an untrained "" "look-alike""" coz this ain't it. He sounds weird af.

I have been comparing similar shots from Tsuki no hime and Meikyo shisui yesterday with Watashi mamire, and damn he really doesn't look or sound anything like that anymore. I mean, yes there's quite the time gap and styles change, but this really is a big difference.

 

I feel like this song could be better if Mahiro just toned down all the vocal fries and pitch things or whatever you call them, I can catch the vocal melody a bit, but with a lot of trouble honestly. I had the same idea with Tamaki when I first heard that song yet I grew used to that song, Mamire is just way too much in my opinion.

His face changed indeed, but about his voice he's just singing in a different way? lol
Mahiro has ever sanged in many different ways. His voice in 漣 is very different from 鬼祭 for example. I'm kinda surprised that Kiryu fans didn't notice it haha.

Mahiro has always experimented with his singing, that's one of the obvious selling points of kiryu. this isn't that. I'm gonna wait for the single to really judge, but he just sounds bad.

What the fuck? It sounds like they mashed together the vocals and instrumentals of two separate tracks or something. I've almost entirely lost track of what these dudes have been up to lately cuz they're just constantly shitting out releases all over the place but uhhh maybe their management really SHOULD consider releasing them from the sweatshop recording studio for like half a year or so to recover for a bit

I didn't really enjoy the last release (花鳥風月), it was kinda boring for me. But did you listen to 手纏ノ端無キガ如シ? It's pretty much awesome! The chorus is very catchy, so give it a chance!  Their latest full album was pretty good too.

When they're on and firing on all cylinders, they're like the most talented vk band around and every member can play their ass off. I'm of the opinion that their concept is holding them back because it's those moments when they don't sound like something that would play in the wash room of a chinese restaurant when they're at their best. The last track from the most recent album was a great showing how they would sound without all that... you know... shit

I don't understand Japanese but a fan told his nose made him feel insecure.

His nose was OK and perfect for his Asian features.

I actually agree, his build is very tender and this nose fit right in with his other features. Personally I thought he was very cute looking, though I do understand that he wanted to look a bit less cute and more cool ( I guess that was his intention at least).

It definitely feels like them trying to experiment but it is not really single worthy I think. Meh, Can't always push out perfection with the release frequency they have. but seriously, live these guys are top level. Went to see them during some of the full album gigs a couple years ago, perfection each time. Crazy they remembered all those songs!

Mitsuki doesn't to participate for  band activities  because he's has a problem with on eye. He suffers and it's a retinal detachment. So he's  take a break of the band. He's treatment is urgent and this take 5 weeks. His rest are necessary. Mistuki   return mid-april in the band and this depends on his medical position. The band continue their activities with four members. 

 

I am not understand japanese, corrections are welcome.

I love the title track 私塗レ , it is great especially with 参輝 composed and wrote the lyrics , and the re-record version of 凩 is also good , more of the Japanese styled orchestra than the original.
I am not sure about 蛇婬 , this song is just weird with the jazzy (?) twist ...

I agree, it's some of Miki's best work! I'm usually partial to Kujou tracks.

 

Hope the surgery goes well. I'll wait to hear the verdict before scheduling to visit. Hoping he'll be back my mid-April/May for the final!

I think the eye issue might come from having to wear those contacts all the time.  Sometimes they don't clean their fingers or maybe some hair crap/sweat gets into their eyes while performing or maybe they like to play 3 stooges with each other?

Their performances are cancelled  due to the coronavirus and they postpone dates for more later.
