Why announce the band now if they plan to release music in 2017? It's not like a film or game, it's probably a three song single so this is kind of ridiculous haha

Especially considering that I'm sure there are plenty of people like me who haven't heard the lead singer or some of the other member's, they should release a SINGLE song or a live distribution or something.

Kisaki seem's to tear band's apart so I don't hope for him to do much right now unless he form's a band and truly commits to it, Lin was great and brought back the Megaromania and really got my hopes up then just as soon as I was ready for a full album we got another Kisaki band break up so I just don't think that Kisaki is good for any band.

MikuKun got a reaction from Tetora in Sel'm - Reiro
I don't like doing track by track review's but I will list everything on the album that I enjoyed. This album surprised me quite a bit, I first heard of Sel'm a good while ago and I thought they were just okay, they were average, everyone seemed to be in love with Tora's voice I thought he was dull, I didn't think he was impressive. After he left I wasn't sure what would happen to them but when they got a new lead vocalist I was excited to hear him but I was also underwhelmed by him, it just felt like they absolutely had to be "metal" the riffs had to chug and he had to scream, when he sang I thought he was okay but still yet again a Sel'm vocalist that I found to be average. I left them be for a good amount of time then I decided to go on this site and check thing's out, I was reading through the news forum and read that Sel'm was releasing an album so my curiosity was piqued. As soon as it came out I checked it out and genuinely was taken by surprise.

Sel'm's newest album Reiro is impressive, I was afraid it would just be chuggy fake metal and was happily wrong. This album is dark and soothing, it's very melodic and truly has some wonderfully catchy chorus's. I was extremely impressed with the guitar work on Reiro, sometime's they fall back into boring guitar riff's that get boring quick but for most of the album the pace and style of guitar change's up, I found myself just listening some song's over just to hear the guitar work beautifully playing beneath Ryuga's vocal work and just being so impressed with the synergy that they had. Another thing is that I personally found the guitar solo's to be very good, for me a guitar solo is important, it can change a song from solemn and slow to a powerful beauty.

The bass work on this album is also very nice but if I'm being honest I didn't really hear the bass all that often, if I did it wasn't because the bass got powerful it was just me listening for it but at the same time as the bassist Takuma does his job, he helps keep the song going. Normally I would say that I wish the bass was more profound and that it was more unique but I really didn't mind the bass too much.

Next is the drum work and the drum's were very nice also, they had some nice technical play and really kept the pace of the album and the feeling of the album up, yet again nothing crazy impressive that would make you say that these are the song's you should aspire to be able to play on drum's but yet again they get the job done and keep's the band supported, a drummer is supposed to be the beam's that keep the band standing and I personally believe that he did that just fine. Like I said by no means are the drum's outstanding but they are good and keep the song's going.

Finally the part that impressed me the most, Ryuga's vocal work, Ryuga did an amazing job on this album, his vocal work was just beautiful on this album he has a very nice voice with a beautiful dark deep tone to it, Ryuga really did amazing. This album had some amazing song's, it had great tone and had good pacing. The album start's a bit heavily with some chugging guitar riff's and screaming which had me worried at first but by the second song "Kono Hana Ga Saite Kareru Made" I was relieved of my worries, the second track was very catchy and anthemic, then the album just kept impressing me. There are quite a few song's that are just so gorgeous with Ryuga's deep voice that I would immediately relax then get sleepy almost like when I would listen to "Uroboros" by "Dir En Grey" I'm not saying that they sounded alike but I'm saying that the song's made me relax like I was slowly falling asleep in a nice forest lit by the moonlight (I wanted a over the top metaphor) the song's all felt different and interesting, I was never bored and never wanted to skip a single track. Ryuga just blew me away on this release, his vocals were so nice with the guitar work of Tsubaki and Jon just gliding underneath his voice and the drum work booming and keeping the song's that needed to be powerful, powerful, the bass work also kept the entire album on track and it just impressed me like crazy. I don't have enough praise for Ryuga on this album I just think he proved that he truly is a front man and an outstanding vocalist.

If I had to recommend an album of this year to listen to currently I would recommend "Reiro" by "Sel'm" it is a great piece of work and I can't wait to hear more from them.

I personally would rate this album with

I want to say one thing, I actually really like Tenten and didn't really like this project but to one previous comment I want to say that 3 to 4 years shouldn't be a good thing it should be expected, it's like saying "my parents never got divorced that's pretty good right" I really do think Tenten has the ability to be outstanding but I think we all know that he clearly is either hard to work with or there is just something really wrong and horrible to be around. I hope he finds a project where he can truly shine and be as good as we all know he can be I just hope he doesn't keep ruining bands and at this point we should all admit that's it's him ruining the bands. Let's all just krep supporting him and hope things change.

I understand that they want to say thanks and show appreciation for everyone but jeez do we need an over dramatic story line for everyone? Why not just do what Liphlich does and just put credits and the end of a music video, I hope The Gazette realize that they are a band and can't expect people to stay excited without MUSIC!! Great it's "the dark age" but instead of an over dramatic British guy talking about the costume designs "battle armor" how about we get some song previews or maybe even the craziest of all an actual music video!

Everyone know's they are disbanding for a good reason right? Hayato has a throat disease, they aren't just randomly disbanding after 18 year's because they were "Uninspired" Hayato is sick and his throat need's surgery. Show some respect to them at least, it may not be much to some people but I know if I was in a band for 18 year's then had to disband because I was sick, it would absolutely destroy me and I know I would want some support and understanding from the fan's of the band. Their last album was really good in my opinion, just try and be understanding people please, let's not be happy that a band is disbanding, this is their life and livelihood, well that's my opinion at least. Let's at least respect their long career, they were a band for one year less than my entire life, they worked hard and lasted a long long time. Thank's for all the year's DuelJewel!

echoing what ender-ender and rocketeer have said above..
i don't intend to change your mind (nor can i), but it's difficult for me to agree with how emotional attachment to the band or musicians behind the music is somehow a residue of childhood we must banish or the emblem of adolescent naivety that we all ought to eventually grow out of. ok fine, flesh and soundwaves are different things; but psychologically they aren't as separable as two disparate words on paper. after all music doesn't just fall off a tree - especially the sort of music that resonates with one on an extremely intimate level, and which profoundly affects him/her for a long time (maybe even the rest of their lives). it seems obviously logical then, at least in one's mind, to feel like the musician can speak to you (or a part of yourself) in a way that your parents or closest friends or the person physically beside you never could and never will. i should also add that lots of people i know capable of this experience lead perfectly normal and well-adjusted lives without the tiniest bit of delusional fantasies about the musicians themselves.
if anything, i've always felt that any dogged insistence on uncoupling music from the people who made it is precisely the kind of thought that drives some people to happily decide that the music is all they care about, as a result of which they couldn't care less about supporting the musicians behind it since these 'strangers' are so remote and divorced from their emotional investment anyway.
speaking for myself, i definitely enjoy the company of fans who are more intense (i.e. 'insane') about musicians whom they don't know in person but who means a great deal to them - and no, i see nothing 'weak' about that - over those who discuss bands and music matter-of-factly with a straight face as if they are being interviewed for their professional opinion on global warming. this latter group of people gets me terribly tetchy and over time i find it tiring to associate with them. i guess if you really want to you could call emotional attachment to the bands irrational, but for me this kind of irrationality is a lot more humanly valuable than the 'stoicism' you demand of people as if grieving a disbandment is somehow a betrayal of our own intelligence. because we are more than that.

MikuKun got a reaction from Sakura Seven in DISREIGN (YOHIO) 1st single UNTIL THE FADE
My opinion on this is something that I hope might help people think differently than just "Everyone hate's Yohio because he's this or that"

There is a difference between taking someone else's work and creating a song or piece of music that is inspired by said artist and re purposing someone else's creation and using it to show your talent, if you truly create something by re purposing someone else's work and show YOUR talent and abilities then it's okay and people can respect that, they can understand that you are an artist who was just inspired by someone else.

Yohio doesn't ever seem to do this though, he is the other half which is using someone else's style or using a style that is well known and thought of as a certain group, sure The Gazette did NOT create that style but they have OWNED it, when I hear a song that has a certain sound to it I will say "Oh that sound's like this band or that band" If a band owns a style and the said sound becomes associated by them then that's how it is and Yohio know's that. He know's that everyone think's this sound's like a copy. If the talent doesn't show through and the amount of work doesn't shine through then can you really blame people for not enjoying nor respecting the artist?

I love Visual Kei, I love Japanese music in general and I would never dislike an artist because of his or her skin color and nationality, I myself am a White guy from America who love's singing and is moving to Japan to become a musician there, so it wouldn't make sense to judge Yohio based on his skin color, it's his lack of creativity and work he put's into these song's that make me dis like him. He didn't have to work hard at all compared to the amount of work an average person put's into something they love. I don't dis like him because of anything other than his work he has done and credit he has taken. That's all and I hope my opinion help's shed some light on something for someone!

Also let's not bully each other, just support each other!

Sometimes fan's can just be plain jerk's, just at least give them the respect they deserve for ten year's of making music without completely calling them trash. I thought Beautiful Deformity was pretty damn good actually, I didn't love TOXIC or Division too much but Beautiful Deformity was pretty solid. I think the new song sound's good, what exactly does everyone want from them? All I read is is "Oh this song is terrible" "This album was awful" no one ever explain's what it is they actually want from The Gazette, I'm a fan of the band not a crazy fan but I enjoy their music, they don't ever seem to make a "Horrible album" from what I can tell, all they did was release an album that is different from their old style so everyone states how much they hate this album but never explains why. They have been a band for such a long time, you can't possibly get upset that they aren't making song's that sound like their album's and mini's from 9 to 10 year's ago. Someone give me a good reason with an actual point as to how this song is "terrible". Band's grow, you have to accept that and stop complaining, at least give some helpful criticism instead of pointless comment's.
