Still binging a bit on Joze since I found out some of their releases are on Spotify and I never really got around to listening to more than a track or two from them before. Heart Soldier is adorable.

I think L'Arc~en~Ciel was technically the first one I heard and liked, since I was watching DNA2 at the time and the theme was "Blurry Eyes", but it's a bit tricky because I didn't realize the singer was a man or what VK was until after I was introduced to X JAPAN on a hair metal forum a few months later. So I guess technically X was my introduction to VK, although L'Arc was very much my first love and the band that really dragged me into J-rock in general.

God, this one is funny on so many levels.

I liked their previous single, and I'm a sucker for the marble blood aesthetic (reminds me of Kamisama no iu toori), but I'm not wild about the new song and the MV seems a bit messy and rushed.

As someone who writes both professionally and for fun, it's always so painful to look at news articles on Twitter and see people making comments purely based on headlines. The fact that people don't even feel the need to click and skim the first paragraph before sharing their predictable, hyberbolic outrage just makes me feel so disappointed.

Isn't that capitalization just to show that those parts are in katakana instead of hiragana? It's a bit weird-looking in this case since it's only small parts of the title, but a lot of people romanize things like that.

I've been playing "Siralim 3" for the past few days. I heard that it's like "Dragon Warrior Monsters 2", which was one of my favourite games as a kid, and it is basically the exact same only with a lot more emphasis on equipped items (instead of spells that your monsters collect as they level up or through breeding), so I'm really enjoying it. The combat was a bit confusing at first, but now that I've gotten used to it I can really appreciate how they've tried to make collecting and training monsters as efficient as possible. It is a bit repetitive, and it could do with a bit more story/more complex quests than just collecting things and carrying them from point A to B, but I could say the same about Dragon Warrior Monsters, Pokemon, Monster Rancher, etc. and I still enjoy playing and replaying those games all the time.

Oh wow, I always thought Justy-Nasty was like a sleaze rock band from the name, I didn't know they had like a young and spunky VK BOOWY thing going on. I'm kind of in love.

^That's actually a really unfair clip for HYDE. I mean, it is a bit cheesy, but I thought he sounded lovely on the full version.

The new AA= track with Hirosuke is so cute. The BALZAC influence is so strong.
