Sorry, but I want this to happen now

Lol, after reading the posts in this thread I just imagined like a montage of YOSHIKI headlines. "Long-awaited X JAPAN album finally released - hits number 30 on the Billboard charts" "Legendary rock band X JAPAN collaborates with Oprah, crafts a line of best-selling home decor items" "Meet YOSHIKI, the head of X Decor, the brand taking it to IKEA" "X Decor's YOSHIKI is now one of the world's richest living people" "YOSHIKI transfers brain into mechanized body, so that he may live forever and 'escape the pain of his past'" "Mecha Emperor YOSHIKI promises that his new album is finished and will be released 'once all the details have been worked out with management'" "'While I can no longer physically die, making this album was so tough that it almost killed me' Emperor YOSHIKI confesses"

It's simple, but I've always really liked the cover of THE BACK HORN's "Ikiru Sainou" album.

DIR EN GREY's The Marrow of a Bone. It's basically the album that killed my interest in them, and I believe it was part of the run where was an issue with the booklet printing or something because I couldn't tell what the cover was supposed to be and the lyrics were written in a dark grey that was almost impossible to read against the black background. Honestly, I bought it mainly because I was so excited to see a CD from a J-rock band for sale in a regular store. Didn't have a credit card at the time, and I've never liked asking people to buy things for me, so randomly finding CDs at anime conventions and at Asian malls was just about the only way I could buy any J-rock CDs at the time otherwise.

I've been watching "Black Clover" recently. At first it felt a little too much like just watching Naruto with magic instead of ninjas and an even louder protagonist, and it still kinda does every time Asta and Yuno are interacting, but the characters are fun so I'm letting it slide. I kind of love Gauche. It's getting progressively more annoying to see how quickly the villains' past crimes are forgiven though. Then again, that's not exactly uncommon in shounen anime, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Watched "The Fighter" with my sister the other day. We both completely forgot that we'd already watched it around when it first came out. It was so entertaining that we kept watching even after we remembered though. Although my sister kept saying things like "So, which one of us is Marky Mark? I know it seems obvious that you'd be him because he's so shy and sensitive, but, hear me out, maybe you're more like Christian Bale?" ...this is a movie where Christian Bale is a greasy-looking former boxer that's addicted to crack.

I can attest that it happened, I was there. I’ve never really cared for Matenrou Opera though, so the highlight for me was probably during the Q&A when someone asked them who they thought the most attractive member was or something and Anzi just kind of smugly gestured to himself

They posted some clips from the show with Yusuke:

NOA announced a "last live" in March, so I guess they're not planning to start up activities again after all. It's too bad, I was really hoping for at least one more album. I've been binge listening to like their entire discography for the past hour or so. I always forget how much I love "sandglass". Although, I've been giving the new Danablu mini a few more listens and I like it a lot more than I thought. If they keep going as Danablu and just add Aki in one day down the line as a second guitarist or something that could be good as well...

Are they trying to get that guy from THE ALFEE's attention or something?
-
Since that other thread reminded me: Their releases are mixed up with another artist, but the Target single is also available.

I'm not wild about every single thing they've released, but I think Kizu definitely have potential because it seems like they've managed to draw in both "dark" visual kei fans and people into the more accessible stuff. Whoever is managing them also clearly knows what they're doing, which seems to be pretty rare these days. Plus they've got Lime, who is basically exactly the type of singer I like, so I can't not pay attention to them. I don't see them revolutionizing VK or anything, but I feel like Asty has the potential to be a really solid band if they keep going long enough. The songs are catchy, Takeru's voice stands out a bit, and their looks seem to be getting more polished with each release.

Yeah, Ray is a surprise. Did he just retire from "official" band activities then? 🤔

I remember seeing tons of Hakuei over the years as well, although I'm not really a big Penicillin fan, so I can't remember where this one is from. Also somehow I forgot this Kiyoharu shot.

The Kiyoharu photoshoot everyone knows Wataru from LIPHLICH's "Beauty Calendar" that was mostly shots of his ass.

Saw Aquaman earlier tonight because the movie my family wanted to see was sold out and it was on at the same time. It was pretty goofy in places, but I definitely went into it expecting that. Some cool action scenes though, and some of the settings were really pretty. I agree that Jason Momoa seemed uncomfortable during the comedic bits and the jokes mostly fell flat, but he looked great. That first wet hairflip when he appears on the submarine was majestic. Saw it for free, and I was entertained, even if I laughed more at the serious bits than the intentional jokes, so I can't complain. Good enough as a backup plan.

I never really got into w-inds., but I love this song.

Yusuke is going to be making a guest appearance at one of their upcoming shows. They also posted a little video of him and Maakii recording vocals for a new track they're going to perform, although the sound is muted when the song starts.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused by the random sexy nurse.
