Kaiki (ex. Silver-Rose, ROUAGE, WITH SEXY), arguably the most important figure in the 90s Nagoya kei scene and founder of the indie labels noir and its successor Soleil.

Keiyuu got a reaction from Laurence02 in [HELP] Sakrun - song name?
Yes, this is very early SAKRUN. According to the description it's their initial line-up.
I think the uploader of the video is actually their first bassist SHINGO.
https://twitter.com/no_shingo
Well, the video title says ディパーチャ so I'd say it's the songtitle?
They had a demotape in the early days called 媚薬. I don't know the tracklist but maybe that song is on it as well.

Keiyuu got a reaction from BrenGun in MARY RUE will restart activities
Oh god! o_o This is really interesting and unexpected.
Originally this band was formed by KYON and a guitarist called YU-TA in April 1991 under the name TRASH. Then YOU (bass) and AKO (vocal) joined and they released their only demotape as TRASH. Im November 1994 they changed their name to MARY RUE and in February 1995 original member YU-TA left and was replaced by RYO. Under this lineup they released a tape and a CD in the late 90s. I'm not really sure when they disbanded, probably shorty after their CD release (97-99?).
Also sometime in the late 90s or early 00s their song KISS was re-recorded by A-UNIT, a band led by MARY RUE's vocalist AKO. I don't know whether other members were involved because it was only released on some obscure omnibus tape which does not state any member names. :/

Keiyuu reacted to Jennifer Hage in Hello everyone, i want to introduce myself...
Hello ^^
I have come across this forum a couple of times while i was searching for Visual Kei information online, i decided to sign up today after lurking on this site for a couple of weeks ^^
To tell something about myself, i have been a fan for a long time now (least 8 years) and have not really communicated with anyone about it. this due mainly to anxiety i have hand being afraid i often will get judged for it ^^' i hope i can make some contacts on here and hope to learn new music even!
Musical bands that i am interested in is mainly older 90's bands, such as BAISER, MIRAGE, MALICE MIZER, ROUAGE and a couple of musical releases by La'Mule, i recently found out about D=SIRE and love them a ton!
There are also a bunch of other genre's that peek my interest such as some kotekei bands or late 90's/early 2000's indie projects ^^.
Thank you very much for everyone who takes their time to read my little story ^^

Keiyuu reacted to DaveKei in [CLUB] Starter bands for people getting into old school VisualKei
This band and albums has it all. Early speed, visual metal, gothic, visual rock, heavy metal - everything what you need for an old school visual band. If someone likes this, they'll probably like more.

link them Madeth's 黒装束ノ調べ, Syndrome's 蘇生 and La'mule's inspire. if they don't dig neither of these i simply tell them fuck off and die and that's that.

Keiyuu reacted to Ikna in [CLUB] What are your favourite old-school songs?
way too many. def those you posted too, @AimiGen7. Gauze is a great album, Tsumi to Batsu is an absolute fav, as well as the other famous classics, like raison d'etre, ZAN, Schwein no isu and of course Mazohyst of decadence. Will forever be my fav Dir en grey album (and I will forever not get used to their remakes, except maybe for the new ZAN, since it does sound at least like the original)
Also seconding La'Mule. I prefer inspire and Sterilization over Curse though.
That PV too. Classic 2edgy 90s/early 00s cheese.
Madeth too had such amazing songs. For some reason i do not stan missantroop or Lucifer as much (as most other people do), instead I luv their album opener (+ the intro, because scary baby screams are the best in VK)
I generally have big soft spot for matina bands. Usually the dark and edgy stuff, but Syndrome delivered some good melodic tunes as well:
Do we also count the early 00s and newer (or recently formed) kote bands as oldschool? Like Shulla,Etcetera, Metis Gretel, La'veil Mizeria, etc.?

Keiyuu got a reaction from avaritonista in KISAKI conspiracy? Strange things I noticed related to Kisaki's old bands Levia and LAYBIAL
Sorry, but how are some obscure teen bands who were probably as "big" as Kisaki's band "heroes" for them...?
As for the fact that it was common to copy certain phrases and titles: Yeah that's true, when you look at a number of vk bands you may see some similar titles here and there. But THIS is just too conspicuous.. I mean.. They just took a whole tracklist and simply copy-pasted it. Maybe added 1-2 songs. I don't know but it's just extremely weird that something like this was done on purpose, concerning at least 3 different bands. I haven't seen anything like this in any other vk band.
This would also mean that they all had to be from the same region. How else could have such tiny bands heard about each other and even know their song titles (and the order in which they recorded them on their demo tape...)? According to Kisaki's official site (which I just found), Levia were from Wakayama (Kisaki's birth town). Nude of J (formed 1 year before Levia) were from Gunma prefecture, which is nearly half across Japan from the Wakayama area.
Or maybe the 15-17 year old Kisaki traveled around Japan and went to numerous lives of bands who were together for a month and thought "FUCK YEAH! KELOID, PRAY, VIRGINING PLESURES! Guys I have no idea what it means but your song titles rock my socks! Hell, I'll make a band when I'm home and use all of them (including spelling mistakes)"
No seriously... it seems a little bit too far-fetched. :/
Wow, which tape is it? Can you tell us about the songs on it?
