The # of times I accidentally casted a video to my TV, or even someone's Apple TV is too many to count. It's even funnier when I put airpods on, and keep turning up the volume thinking there's a problem, only to hear the moans and slurps from my neighbor's unit, haha I'm an idiot.

Men have no problem spending the extra coin on a CD or Limited Item if the band is good, and while women aren't so keen on spending as much, so long as the item in questions is personal/cute as @Komorebi mentions, they will fork over the cash. At the end of the day, both see their merch as a collectable item, backed by a degree of further supporting the band.
 
As far as the knowledge goes, I'd question if men retain more than women. I'd say that facts and timelines about the band may be more on the male side, while more personal/random facts like what food, favorite color, or who the bandmates are into would fall onto the female side.
 
Women tend to jump ship on a band than a man would, right? If the band no longer maintains the appeal then they lose female fans, and if they have nothing else to offer, it's easy to say they never had male fans to begin with. *cough* Mejibray

Just wanna say that I think this thread is kind of necessary. We're all united by one thing, and that's an interest in visual kei and likely Japan in general; that is, a genre with a strong emphasis on mostly attractive visuals and a very sexually liberal country, so it would make sense that a lot of people here would have high libidos and maybe not a place to satisfy/discuss them. That, and the feeling of unity allows for a more laid-back environment that we may not always have access to. For instance, even though I've been an adult for almost a year now (dgmw, I know that's still young) and I've been living by myself for over two, people still expect me to be sweet, naïve and innocent because that's the way my face looks and my voice sounds and they're often taken aback if I fail to live up to that expectation. I may not mean to, but for most people, unless I have an awful lot in common with them, I will play up to their expectations of me and act quiet and demure. I have a couple people I can talk to about this kind of thing but not many and it does get frustrating, so being able to let all this out in a place where I know we're all united by something I'm very passionate about, however unrelated to this particular topic it may be, is relieving.

IDK what the specific name for this type of ensemble, but it's related to Japanese Gagaku music (the stuff you hear in the Okami games). It's not Aak, since that's reserved for confucian rituals.
EDIT: It's Jeongak music. I forgot that pretty much all "high class" traditional Korean music that isn't ritual music, is lumped under Jeongak.
 

Oh I got another one: Running out of gas.
So embarrassing and troublesome, luckily it was easy to pull into a street from the main road when it happened to me, but having to walk to the gas station and buy a 1gal jug for gas and having to carry it back was so bad lol. Every single day since that time, I've been dreading anything below a quarter of a tank that I almost get stressed out if I'm in bumper-to-bumper traffic and I'm that low.

For me, one thing that I had happen only once in my life was getting 3 Pizzas delivered to my door, and I got them for free. No idea where the mistake was made, but I didn't order any and my brother took the pizza (he thought I ordered some) from the driver before I knew what happened. I felt bad for the driver, so I called the store to let them know he made a mistake. They were so pissed, they asked me if I took any bites of them yet 🤣. Pretty sure the delivery guy had just quit or something, and we were lucky enough to get 3 random pizzas. 
 
Never got a call back from the store, so we ate that shit up, it was so good and free-tasting lol.

"Fries before guys" is one of the stupidest slogans I've ever seen and was clearly just invented as a lazy cash cow. Yes, I would rather have something I could pay a paltry 89p (McDonald's small size) for instead of hot guys. It's not even the porn/sex thread getting me worked up; I've just always thought that was a really dumb slogan. Same as "bros before hoes", really. Admit it, you'd rather have a hot person.

In my personal experience with 90% of my irl friends being into the scene, it's a 50/50 ratio when it comes to the music. BUT must guys I know who like VK are also into girl bands such as Band Maid or Scandal and/or female vocals like Fuki, whereas the ratio of women into female vocals is, in my experience, way smaller.
 
When it comes to posting appearance-related content I see far more girls fawning over VK dudes than men. When it comes to collecting CDs/merch I see much more men into it (yet I see more girls collecting cheki, overall). I'm leaning towards saying most men are firstly into the music/overall performances and it's harder for them to stan a bandman just on looks, while MANY girls are mainly into some dude's looks and don't care much about the music (I do see this reflected in Japan fans rather tan overseas fans, but still).
 
I'd say VK IS marketed towards teenage girls the same reason Idols are marketed to appeal to the average Japanese man, but when you are overseas and not actively going to gigs/events I'd say it changes a bit and I wouldn't say men in the west feel they donmt belong in the Vk scene or are uncomfortable in it the way men in Japan might (as far as I've read here, many prefer to remain internet fans).
 
I also feel LGBT+ people relate to VK on a bit of a deeper level than cis/straight people. BUT this is only a personal perception based on people I know, can't speak for everyone here.

From my experience both IRL and online, here are some quick observations based from my own perspective.
 
Male fans tend to be more deeply into the music and as many bands as possible. Most walking Wikipedias of VK (myself included) are male, I find.
 
Female fans are the absolute majority and the span of kinds is much wider there, but I generally don't tend to find as many die-hards when it comes to general scene knowledge as when it comes to the male fans, but rather often specialized highly on one particular band, or just a casual fan. 
 
Most major collectors of physical media tend to be male as well. Except for cheki, most male fans I know don't care for those.
