Are Finnish female rappers even the thing in our country these days?

 

(I mean like, anyone but Sini "no, I don't know who's Azealia Banks" Sabotage)

Yeah, Sini Sabotage is probably the only one with some sort of mainstream success these days. And evilcoconut mentioned Mariska, I guess she was "kind of" popular ten years ago or so but she moved on to other genres.

If someone's interested, here's some Finnish female rap, it's underground stuff, though.

The dude featuring in this song was in one of the first Finnish rap groups, Ceebrolistics. They have a cult status among rap-heads here. Gotta give the girl some props for getting him in this song.

Well, at least it's better than any Finnish female rapper.. Haha.

Not enough accordion!

My favorite album is probably SHADOWS. The album that was released after that, I BELIEVE IN ME, is very good but everything after that is average imo. Only post-2011 song I remember really liking is THE MORNING GLOW and it's a b-side. There might be some hidden gems on the three most recent albums (counting the mini-album too) but I don't really remember that well, they didn't leave a good impression to me.

I think they should focus on doing more lighter songs like Lie, Frozen or Maze instead of the oogaboogacore.

I actually find 9mm's vocals to be more annoying than TK's. They are just boring and lack the "character" that TK's voice has imo. I also think that LTS's songwriting is far more interesting.

I like that MUCC song. I also like SCREW's L'oiseau bleu. They used to make some pretty good lighter/softer songs.

This was a good shuffle. I was having trouble picking a favorite until the 10th song popped up. I've been listening to ミドリ a lot these days.

Wu-Tang's new album was pretty disappointing at least beat-wise on first listen. :/ Well, I was kind of expecting that. Still need to check out 36 Seasons.

It usually starts at 20:00 GMT so maybe(?) CAT will come.

Looks like the rumor about a best album was true and good to see they included 想像のSecurity. Interesting to hear the new mixes.

I hope this will be released in Europe too like i'mperfect was.

At first I thought it would be best Jrock songs with a chainsaw sound.

Anyway I voted for Marmalade Chainsaw because it was one of the first DEG songs I liked

Started Akame Ga Kill yesterday and I've seen 6 episodes so far. My biggest problem with this show is that it's shounen. All those ridiculous and huge weapons and that "every character must look different and unique and weird!!!" mentality. Yeah, maybe I have myself to blame for that but it just annoys me that this could be something way better, but I guess that goes for 90% of the shounen series imo. Another problem is that the writing is so amateurish and the back stories of the characters so far feel way too rushed and even stupid. But I've heard that it gets better so I'll just keep watching.

Good news. It's already been released? Damn.

Confession (2014) - One of the better movies I've seen this year. It's about three best friends since childhood and that's all I'm going to tell. It's a movie best enjoyed if you don't know anything about it. The story grips you from the start and it never feels boring. It is quite dark too. 8/10
