  1. I'd pick West Cabaret Drive. It's the only song I've heard from your list.

  2. Crows Explode - Fuck yeah! I have been waiting to see this for a long time. It was directed by Toshiaki Toyoda who's one of my favorite Asian directors. He's faithful to the first two Crows movie, uses same theme song, filming places etc. but brings his own flavor in too. The plot is pretty much the same again, high school delinquents beating the shit out of each other. The main cast is completely new but there's a few familiar, minor characters. I wouldn't have minded some more substance or development to the characters, though. But the movie looks very good visually and it's bad-ass. That's all I was hoping for. This is quite straight-forward for a Toyoda movie but it's nice to see him do something good again because his previous movie was a little underwhelming.

Blues Harp - A movie about an ambitious yakuza small-timer and drug-dealing, harp playing bar tender who become friends. And they are in opposing clans. A yakuza movie that's more focused on the characters than action, but there's some of that too. The first ~5-10 minutes are great and the rest ain't bad either. Good camerawork all around.

  4. THE NOVEMBERS.

I have always wanted to like this band but just couldn't get into them for some reason. Then I decided to try "zeitgeist" again and goddaaamnn it's so good. I will probably never understand why I once thought that it was boring.

  5. Only band I really listen to is Rosso. Interesting to see I'M FLASH BAND, though.

    8. X JAPAN - CELEBRATION
    9. cali≠gari - JAP ザ リパー
    10. 椎名林檎 - 宗教

  6. Cold Fever - Road movie about a japanese guy who travels to Iceland to perform a memorial(?) ritual on a river where his parents drowned. He has to travel across Iceland to get to the ricver and all kind of shit happens and the people he meets are interesting to say the least... Some things seemed a little absurd to me but that just made the film funnier. The main character did a decent job and the landscapes were beatiful. nOT BAD.

  7. Youth Of The Beast - Directed by Seijun Suzuki who directed 40 films in 11 years between 1956 - 1967 and about a dozen films after that. This movie is considered to be his breakthrough. The plot is similar to Yojimbo and A Fistful Of Dollars but this time it's set in the yakuza world. Violent, stylish and highly entertaining, just the way I like it!

  8. BORN, huh. Haven't been listening to them in ages, kind of lost my interest.

    6. Mastodon - Capillarian Crest
    7. Jess And The Ancient Ones - Twilight Witchcraft
    8. ONE OK ROCK - Break My Strings
    9. 黒夢 - HELLO, CP ISOLATION
    10. 蜉蝣 - 光の影

What can I say, I'm a Merry fanboy

  9. A Colt is My Passport - Probably one of the more famous of "Nikkatsu" films, A Colt Is My Passport is a mix of noir and spaghetti westerns. Even the theme song is very western-like and it plays many and many times in the film. It's very catchy song and there's different versions of it for various moods (jazzy, surf). The ending is great !

Tokyo Drifter - Another well known Nikkatsu film. This isn't as good in my opinion. It is quite confusing at some points but style-wise it looks good. The colors are beautiful.

The Outlaw Josey Wales - One of my favorite westerns. There's so many classic scenes: "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', boy."

  10. I'm often listening to a song and I'm thinking "I like this song" and when the song ends and a new one starts I forget the earlier song. This doesn't happen always but still sometimes.

So what I'm trying to ask is that how many times do you usually have to listen to a song to be able to remember it? Do you forget it instatly after it ends; you remember that the guitar riff was great or it had a catchy melody or something but just can't recall how the guitar riff or the melody went. Can you even say that it had a catchy melody if you forget it almost right after the song ends? Do you remember anything about the song except that it was good until you listen to it again? Does it depend on the song?

I hope that wasn't too confusing. Let me know what you think.
