This is really exciting, I think their only live outside of Asia was in Cologne (Germany) in 2007 for the "J-ROCK INVASION" festival. I'm very jealous of the Americans right now!

I'd never heard of them until they popped up on my Facebook feed a few weeks ago. For a UK based VK band, they're surprisingly amazing! 

I haven't heard this one, but I have a hard time imagining it could be any worse than Born to be free, the corniest fucking limp dicked ballad from a bunch of old rockers with one foot firmly in the retirement home bingo room. I sincerely could not imagine a song that's more reprehensible to me in what it is and what it represents.

Interesting. The DIRU IZ DED OMFG conversation has come up constantly since THE FINAL, and we've laughed it off as ridiculous. Now we're in a weird position where 3/5 of the band are doing other things, and the band themselves have been extensively touring most of their old material from past to present like some kind of last hurrah. These could be the final days. On the other hand, Dir en grey is WAY too big to just lie down. There's money there, whereas I doubt most people will care too much about these side-projects. Perhaps they're feeling creatively bankrupt as Dir en grey and need to move on. Or maybe these solo endeavours exist simply to fill in the down-time between DEG tours. 
 
Of course, we can speculate, but there's really no way of knowing.

Any fans of Esprit D'Air here? Apparently, they reformed last year, but that's when I found out about them. I'm going to their London show tomorrow at O2 Academy !

Like I really thought that X Day was gonna be this big thing where they like unveil all these projects they were working on and shit. Like they were gonna play a majority of new songs people hadn't heard yet or whatever. And then ultimately announce the definite and for real release date of the album. 
 
I dont know why i ever delude myself in this manner. Personally I've loved everything they've done since they got back together. But their like... constant back and forth about this album isn't even funny to me at this point just horribly disheartening and truly disrespectful to fans, in my opinion. 
 
Even now, almost a month after X Day, they're still dancing around the subject. Rude. 

i honestly don't even want to to release that new album. It's going to be a snooze fest.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I've seen a lot of smaller bands do "one-man lives" that have "special guests" or "featuring ___" that perform as well. 
 
My interpretation is that a one-man is that the show is organized by one band's management in an effort to promote that band only, where as other shows the effort for promoting and organizing is done by one-to-many artists performing. Dir en Grey + Kagerou doing a tour vs. Dir en Grey touring and Kagerou opening at a few of their shows. The latter is still putting the focus on Diru, so it is still "their show."
 
 Sometimes vkei / formerly-vkei acts have loose definitions for things (like maxi-single vs a regular single that comes in 100 types, as an example), or maybe I'm putting too much stock in what these "special guests" actually do (do they MC? Do they sing one song? Do they just collect drink tickets? Sell merch??? Who knows!)

1 -  Be individuals, not a single unit. If you're both doing different things, giving each other space, finding your own friends it'll keep the relationship alive and chances are you won't get tired of each other.
 
2 - Take interest in the person. If you don't give a shit about their day, their life, where they've been/ what they have done, their opinions then you shouldn't be here. They'll feel undervalued and replaceable eventually.
 
3 -  As with above: Even if your personal hobbies and interests are different give it a try. You can have fun together, or at least you'll learn something new.
 
4 -  Take time to just talk. Make sure you cultivate a habit of being able to speak openly with each other about stuff. Surprised no one mentioned it yet but, communication is key.
 
5 -  Find out what is important to that person and make sure you respect it, even if it's an effort for you. It'll be worth it in the long run.

From there you can snatch a waifu/husbando of your liking or choose whatever direction you want to go in life. Kinda hard to fuck up at that point.
