Not the main type of music I listen to, but I do enjoy quite a few K-pop artists. What a lot of people hate about it (ridiculous visuals, pretty boys trying to be thugs, blatant melodies and so on) are the fun things about it, I enjoy it exactly because it is so ridiculous and over the top. I wouldn't necessarily say there is no talent in K-pop though, some bands have amazing singers (SHINee for example) and some groups like Big Bang do have some more creative tracks with decent songwriting. It also comes down to what you define as K-pop, since if you go more into Hip Hop, there is some high quality stuff like Epik High or Outsider. I can understand why a lot of people hate the whole thing though

Thanks for listening and commenting! Hmm, the lyrics are indeed not overly personal - to me it didn't feel soulless at all when I recorded it, but that's definitely something rather subjective. I guess it might be because I have a pretty technical approach to singing? I sometimes think a bit too much about the singing itself (which is most likely due to the classical background), so I guess a rather Rock-ish approach to the vocals might help to have a better impact. Definitely appreciating the feedback, gonna try to improve that, thank you!

Why shouldn't we pull it off though? We all recorded our instruments/vocals at home and put the whole thing together, apart from the drums there is nothing artificial. I respect your opinion, but I think you are being overly negative here - the screams have absolutely no effects on them apart from compression (which is standard for all vocals), the band name is a reference to a D'espairsRay song of the same name and I personally don't think my vocals are weak, whereas the last part is of course just my opinion. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, indeed we are just at the beginning and trying to improve! @beni: Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it Screaming is actually not really my main style, but I'm very happy to hear that you like it that much! Hey guys, it's been a while! Since my old thread for my singing is really old, I decided to make this new one and share some of my more recent stuff with you. I have been absent for a long long time and decided to get back into the Japanese music scene a bit, maybe some people still remember me My favourites used to be (and still are to an extent) D'espairsRay, 9GOATS BLACK OUT, girugamesh, Plastic Tree, the studs, envy, Mono, mutyumu and many more, even though I tend to prefer the either more modern or melancholic sounding bands. Also still interested in experimental stuff and Post-Rock, so anything new I should definitely check out?

It's decent I'd say, although I have some problems with balancing the volume when I'm not using compressor, but that might also be because I don't know much about technical stuff

Love this one a lot more than Kyuutai and Karma, I'd actually even say that this was one of the best albums of 2012. Overall a great mix of old and new styles without sounding forced, plus the title track is absolutetly gorgeous. I'd give it a 8,5/10 I guess.

Really looking forward to this! Since I actually liked the symphonic version of Amon, another one of those would be awesome in my opinion. Regarding Kyo's throat-surgery: I'm pretty sure that he uses his false chords for his growling, so normally there shouldn't be that much of a problem as long as the surgery isn't directly related to that. Don't know about his shrieking stuff though
