Well to put it another way, Yoshiki was part of the start of VK, what Miyavi came from, plays bigger venues worldwide, and plays his music, not stuff the studios partly made for him like Miyavi's latest stuff. It's great if Miyavi wants to be a star in NA, but I wouldn't be jealous if I was Yoshiki for the given reasons, and the fact that he did it using the music him and his band made, not a movie and pop producers. I don't think miyavi's music will ever be relevant in the US, north america is racist and non-receiptive, and he is non-white, non-english articulate and his current music sounds like everything else out there and he is not hipster enough to have local non-vk fans. movie career? there's huge potential for that, given he worked with Angelina.
