Attended a wedding last month. Obviously before the event b/c I don't like how I look in the pics during and after ( -人-).

Bought all but one a week-or-so ago (since I already had the 2014.08 one). Recently found my old portable DVD player, but I somehow only had the car charger, not the plug one. Adapter came in the mail today and now I'm watching VK lives as the gya-gods intend.

ELRIS did a quaint digital release, hoping for a larger release in the near future. I always figured the end results were slightly rigged to allow companies to start comebacks or add new trainees to existing groups w/o waiting a year for the resulting group to dissolve. Apparently the last two seasons were found to have the final groups prepared from the beginning, which is likely why the shit-editing existed. I wouldn't be surprised if the did this starting w/ season one. I feel for the members of IZ*ONE and X1 b/c the trainees are obv. not at fault here. Even if the members w/ the obvious advantages knew about the rigging process, they would obviously not speak out of fear for being blacklisted from the industry (one of the qualms I have w/ mainstream K-pop in general.)

I think @psychonnect_rozen is referring to a select, but present group of metal and/or rock elitists to a fault. I've bumped into a few here in the U.S. You'll absolutely have boomer-tier* or Shapiro-tier dweebs that'll trash anything that isn't their "brand" of music, but that kind of mentality has a presence in every vein of music (with varying levels of objectivity.) There are classical music fans who think jazz is "not playing by the rules", old-school hip-hop heads that think "mumble rap" is trash, 90's dubstep fans that disavow the "bro-step" of the early 2010's, the list goes on. While this doesn't account for everybody, most metal, metalcore, deathcore, and prog-metal fans I hung out with were themselves already steeped in rap, hip-hop, and mainstream pop. (Metal covers of pop music are extremely common.) On a personal note, a lot of my deathcore friends were also huge EDM nuts. Metal as a genre also has the natural tendency to branch into everything, and rock was born from blues, folk, and country. Look beyond your social bubble where you observe those generalizations and you'll find plenty of people who are pretty much chill w/ whatever. On a side note, anyone who takes pride in some sort of elitism as a personality-trait can go fuck off. Those types of people can get over themselves and learn something from the rest of society. *Not referring to actual boomer age demographic, but the obstinant "boomer" mentality. idk, felt appropriate.

Same mentality. I've been sleeping on this band for a while, come to find they're really nice. I'm finding it increasingly harder as someone overseas to justify buying CDs w/ shipping costs when I'm hunting live-limited stuff from other bands ;;. This is coming from someone who used to EMS ship new multi-type releases in bulk for ~$200 a month. Nowadays I get one or two shipped via small-packet a few times a year. Neverland doing digital was the best thing since sliced-bread. A couple other bands I follow use OTOTOY which does FLAC (which is also great.) - Now back on-topic, this is really good :D!

I appreciate the above, as I was once the "Sonic Kid" (with Zelda and Kirby in the mix.) I tend to have more nostalgia for the older Genesis titles, the Sonic Advance series, and SA + SA2(B) (where I spent more than half the game in the Chao Garden >_>.) I also really enjoyed the niche titles like Tail's Adventure (Game Gear), Sonic R, and Sonic the Fighters. Sonic Advance and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 have killer soundtracks, the former of which got me really into VGM. I remember rushing into Ink Newsstand to grab the latest Sonic comics and EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly.)... Also, watching Sonic X and Kirby Right Back at Ya' on Saturday mornings. --- Well, my back is nearly healed up. I've been on cyclo, benzos, and a fuck-ton of ibuprofen (1200mg/day) for about a week, but my sciatica is clearing up. Also a good day b/c I won my city-pop/kayokyoku white whale today, Yuki Saito - LOVE on cassette SEALED. There's like a million copies of the CD around, but the cassette ver. seems to be ultra-rare.

JAV is def. nice since it covers a huge range of niches, but the acting (esp. the kawaii shtick) can be a little much. There's a PornHub channel called "Hunk Hands". Plunderer I read this a long time ago and have it stalled. Since it's back in the limelight, I might have to pick up the manga again. The plot with its central "count" system is pretty unique and leads to interesting scenarios. There are other developments that are likely to be adapted here that'll take you for a spin. Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei Shite Mita. This leans more comedic than anything. It uses the intelligent but boke trope with weird science/techno-babble. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T Index 3 a shit, but Railgun seems to pick up the slack every subsequent airing. Canon manga plot covered here is good, so I expect an amazing first half of episodes followed by weird filler... Unless they pull an Index 3 and rush the shit out of it. Heya Camp S2 Yuru Camp. It's fun, what can I say. Koisuru Asteroid Read a few chapters of this. It's cute, lighthearted stuff. Runway de Waratte This is actually really interesting. Has to do with an unconventional pathway to a modeling career. Drama is actually good and not forced melodrama. Ishuzoku Reviewers LULW ecchi trash dealing w/ prostitution, but if that's your style, then you might like it. Fits are already being thrown by the Western Twitter peanut gallery, but was this series really a surprise to anyone? Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Gaiden This keeps being framed as a sequel or continuation to Madoka, but this is definitely more of a spinoff. It's animated well, so I might bite. Largely the same sort of content. What I find interesting is that Dorohedoro and Majutsushi Orphen Hagure Tabi (reboot from the 1998 ~ 2000 anime) have source material from 2000 and 1994, respectively. So, I might check those adaptations out. I might check out Somali to Mori no Kamisama and Kyokou Suiri. I've read some of the latter like 3~4 years ago, but I've forgotten the plot by now.

So, Topaz Labs has had an artificial-intelligence (AI) image software suite for a while now, including Gigapixel AI which is meant for upscaling photos. Well, videos are comprised of still frames, so it was only natural that users would try and apply this AI upscaling to video. In the past, this process had to be done manually using FFMPEG to extract all the frame images. You then had to upscale in batch with a limit of ~2000 images per session which would take forever. After all that, you had to put the whole thing back together. Within the past month Topaz Labs has now automated this process with Topaz Gigapixel AI for Video and it's a free beta at the moment. While the hardware requirements are 32 GB RAM + an Nvidia Graphics Card with at least 6 GB VRAM, for the time being, you can have them render a 60 second comparison test for free or pay for a full video up to 10 GB (the longer the length, the pricier it is.) You can see here I shelled out $7 for ユナイト - 約束 [MV] since I wanted to see how the upscale treated the variety of camera shots, effects, and CG (also it's ultra-fucking slow on my PC.) I also used SVP to transcode the upscaled product (by 200%) w/ 60fps frame interpolation for the last video. I assume Dailymotion hasn't fully processed these b/c they're stuck at 1440p, so for that and compression-sake I included the original files in MEGA. I find this particularly interesting for Visual Kei music videos b/c unless they're on YT, we're kind of stuck with DVD rips @ 480p.
