Waiting for a couple shipments before I update my cassette collection (both here and discogs), but I've started collecting city pop + 80's/90's J-pop cassettes. --- I've recently got into Kazami Ritsuko: Probably going to cop the cassette release of アヴァンチュリエ (Avantulier), her second album.

My Old Layout ver. was a bit messy, but this should do it for the current design: Just paste this in "My Filters" in the Ublock Origin Dashboard. Everything is labeled, so if there's anything missing that you want, you can just delete that particular line. I have a TamperMonkey script that just redirects from youtube.com to my subscriptions page, but you could really just bookmark your subscriptions page or keep it on the startup page.

killing two birds w/ one stone... gradually majors sites + sns make me uneasy b/c it's become more about putting people in the spotlight and parasocial stuff makes me really uncomfortable. so I've been using this opportunity to get better at webdev by pretty much blocking everything I don't want to see with scripts. for example, youtube is literally just my channel, subscriptions, my playlists, and nothing else. i'm still getting fomo (fear of missing out) creep where I cheat myself and use a different browser, but I'm getting used to it. sometimes it bothers me b/c it's like neutering the one thing I have in common w/ most other "young" people, but i'm really having to do this for my own sanity. it's like using your phone in a crowded room as an introvert, but now everyone is on the phone too so you're doubly as uncomfortable. so i'm basically going recluse².

Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shite Shimatta… Interesting, more shoujo oriented isekai into an otome game world. I haven't read a bunch of it, but it's pretty decent compared to the swathe of mediocre adaptations. Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! Overpowered OP. Narrative is weird and the relationships are odd. I'm very blasé w/ these isekai, so I don't have much more to say about them. Gleipnir There was this huge scanlation gap (as far as I recall), so I've missed out on the last couple chapters. That being said, the series is pretty fantastic. It's a thrill. Gal to Kyouryuu This one is a pretty fun, cute read. The dinosaur is my spirit animal. Yesterday wo Utatte is an adaptation to look out for. I'll have to pick up the manga for Kakushigoto and Houkago Teibou Nisshi for the comf. Otherwise, I don't have much else to say about Spring. I'm curious how Covid19 will effect the shows for this upcoming season, as I know there have already been delays w/ episodes this one.

Reminder to everyone to back their shit up before doing a Windows update. Newer laptop had Bitlocker (drive encryption) active w/o my knowledge, and since my startup was borked I had to factory reset. Luckily I backup 98.9% of my stuff, but whatever I was working on within the past month is gone. Having to reinstall everything has me miffed though.

weird kinda small rant So, for those up to date w/ kpop matters, Big Hit (BTS' label for simplicity sake) within the past several months acquired Source Music (Gfriend's Label) and has included Pledis Groups (NU'EST & Seventeen) under their Weverse idol-SNS-platform. So a few major groups I follow (making that distinction for pretext) are now kinda under an umbrella, cool. Dear mother of god, stans go scorched earth in comment sections and everyone introduces themselves w/ weird formalities like they represent some Star Trek faction when referring to their "fandom". Any apology also takes the form of the latter, which turns comment chains into a transcription of wartime letter exchanges. I realize this isn't anything particularly new, but now that I'm actually observing this activity rather than getting the gist second-hand is really freaky to witness. Visual kei tanuki at least is pretty fucking funny when it comes to the weird topics, this just wants to make me roll my eyes to the back of my head. I get the importance of fandom engagement when it comes to numbers, future content, etc. and the kpop model is a unique one, but can't we all just get along and just like shit. - kind of relates to the vk cd convo I used to be addicted to chasing down live-limited stuff (my ジグザグ collection is a huge example of this, which alone approx cost me $800+ USD total) where I basically leveraged it over food which definitely worsened my depressed squalor during that period of time. Now that I'm healthy enough to not be using vk CDs to chase endorphins, I've reached this weird nirvana where I don't really care anymore and lost that "completionist" mindset. Now that I've let that go, I can collect whatever I want like cassettes and other cool memorabilia shit, and I'm happier now than before.

I tend to pick & choose from a band's discog when it comes to what I want musically, and since I genre hop constantly, I don't really find myself as someone who deeply "cares" about most bands (in the holistic sense.) I find that especially so with visual kei and the frequency of disbandments. Now h- ... yooo- at least give me 2011 so I can include ユナイト, lmao. I guess it's just Neverland then. I listen to every other vk band piecemeal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
