    I was somewhat surprised how much I understood being in an Elem. Jap. I course. Sensei even started a small conversation which I partly understood. Exposure w/o intentionally learning does weird things...

      It's pretty nice so far because the class size is small. The individuals in there are interested in the language, and are not really vocal about pop-culture stuff. Then again the first day was today. Iimori-sensei has a heavy accent, but is very understandable. She often switches to Japanese even when speaking which is really beneficial because you feel more confident speaking around her.

      i'm sure i literally learned about 50% of the Japanese i know from vk, so yes the exposure is a lot more useful that you might think =D
